Zero integrity left in collegiate sports it seems

There is one way to bring back the trappings of amateurism like eligibility limits and prior participation in professional athletics entities other than the NCAA: anti-trust carve out from the government, a players union, and a CBA enumerating these things for player participation in the system.
Legislation/executive order, collective bargaining or chaos.
Those are our choices.

Don’t worry our elected representatives and senators are on the case

The big issue with this right now is the more college athletics sensitive states have a preferred model that differs a bit from the states that do not have such a deep interest in college athletics. And, of course, that broadly divides across the two party system we live in...so we're basically screwed.
Our delegation all seems to be on the same page, even the two reps from the minority party in this state.

Todd Golden is talking shite about us now, so this is a net positive.
Any amount of time he spends talking about us is time he isn’t harassing and stalking women. Oats and Bediako doing their part

The good news is that this will die down after Saturday.
The average idiotic college sports fan will see Bediako score 6 points and be like “he sucks, who cares.”
Most of us know he will have a huge impact for our team outside of scoring points.

He’s being brought in for boards and rim protection mainly. Bama is in the 140’s on rebounding in the NCAA stats. We need help there badly. Bonus points for the maturity and experience of a grown arse man out there on the court.

That's why I said I am half joking lol..
But Trinidad is challenging the window rule rn
Bediako and the guy from Baylor give you case law to pursue professionals from American sports leagues...
If Trinidad wins, that will give you case law enough to ignore the clock..
Tua obviously won't come back, but I am telling you NOW... Lawyers will combine those two precedents (case law) and get expired window NFL players back on campuses.... assuming Trinidad wins his lawsuit (which I hope he does not)

NCAA filed a motion yesterday for the judge to recuse himself.
Posted on 1/27/26 at 6:52 am to Allthatfades
The reasoning is the media scrutiny and public speculation it is causing, give me a break, who care what they think or say. The NCAA just shows they have no spine.

Instead, the NCAA contends that proceeding in this Court has created an impermissible appearance of impropriety because of the intense media scrutiny and public speculation surrounding the Court’s relationship with the University of Alabama and its athletics programs and student-athletes.”

The judge in the Bediako case just recused himself. I wish he wouldn’t have.

Well, they have to find a new judge. I’m not entirely sure what that means for the temporary restraining order. I assume it’s still in effect.
I’m not sure how long it will take to secure a new judge or put a date into effect. I also don’t know how you find a local judge without some type of bias.

It really doesn’t matter. This only delays the case. And his replacement will have even more Alabama ties.

New judge will confirm previous ruling. Doesn’t matter who it is.
