Oh well, it would have been a good year to get in…there are no really dominant teams this year. Can’t remember a season of such mediocre football.

I think we, as a fan base, are going to have to come to grips with a lack of success from the football team we love and pull for. I hope I’m wrong, but if CKD put in his best work with his chosen staff we will continue to have to endure this type of disappointment for several more seasons.

Basically it’s going to be like Shula is back.

You can thank Kalen Dubose and Wommack for not having the defense ready to play vandy

This is so dumb. The defense had a terrible game, but there was no reason not to score 50+ on a Vanderbilt defense. Offense turning it over, one a pick 6 and the other while driving with a chance to take the lead, sunk that game just as much.

It’s more than a QB. Some of it was awful playcalling. And then just blatant inconsistencies.

Some of the play calling was bad at times. But just think how limited the OC must be with Milroe as QB. Milroe doesn't even manage the game well and is a turnover machine. That's 3 OC's (counting Bob) that couldn't do anything with Milroe. It's mostly Milroe problem.

Bout to find out how good of a coach Deboer is. Figure a good chunk of the team will hit the portal now that the season is over. Gonna have to actually coach a team next year that isn’t one of the most talented teams in the country. Best part is, don’t choke against Vandy and then turn around do the same crap against Oklahoma and we aren’t having this discussion.

More to come with the effect the NIL+portal combo is having on the entire sport. The days of a team having juniors/seniors that played multiple seasons together and having continuity or chemistry are over.

N'all it is Natty next year with Mack and Russell running a dual QB system. You watch. We coming downhill baby.

I agree, and it’s going to get harder and harder to care as much.

Haven’t been able to watch, but has anyone asked the committee about the message it sends by having teams in with no ranked wins?

Losses mean more than wins. SMU 0-2 against top 25 teams. I think the committee mentioned something about a positive that they went undefeated in conference play. Who gives a shite about that when your conference games are cupcakes.

You just can't lose to bad team.

Penn St probably did cartwheels. Their undeserving team gets to play the least deserving team in the playoff. What a thrilling matchup.

I'm more upset with SMU getting in than Bama being out. It just sends a horrible message to put in at large teams that don't have a single top 25 win. ESPN lobbied like their lives depended on smu getting in.

Plus we had our own shitty alums like McElroy and Dabo not just being impartial, but actively lobbying against us. F 'em all.

“Durrr, let’s cancel tough non conference games to help our chances”

Bama lost to 2 bad conference teams
Ole Miss lost to 2 bad conference teams
USC lost to Ole Miss and Bama plus got hosed in a loss to a decent LSU squad.

So non conference had zero to do with 3 SEc teams getting left out that are better than several of the teams that did make it.

SMU is like a math student that is really good at addition and subtraction but has no idea how to do algebra. Bama is the smart student who rushes on the simple arithmetic but can actually also do calculus.

With us not making the playoff Deboer's first season was a failure.
