Does anyone see us matching up better next time if we make it that far? I am not sure the outcome would be any different and maybe worse. If we cannot get to Ewers then I think it will be the same scenario.

There seems to be an intangible edge to being the loser heading into a rematch game. People forget Alabama had the lead entering the fourth quarter but Milroe had a melty in winning time. Milroe has been rather clutch in the handful of “winning time” opportunities he’s had since that game. Additionally, safety was abused a bit in that game with a true freshman and transfer starting their second game at Alabama. Caleb Downs is arguably Alabama’s best player in the back seven now.

I think Texas is the best team in the country but I kinda like Alabama to upset them if that matchup happens.

Maryland finished 7-5. Michigan beat them 31-24. And it’s not like Maryland had a roster like Texas A&M or Tennessee. UNLV just got run over by Kansas in their bowl game yesterday.

They aren't necessarily great teams but they had winning records. You keep saying Michigan only beat two teams with winning records and you said Iowa doesn't count. No doubt Michigan had a trash schedule but if someone reads your posts and runs to the SEC Rant parroting 'Michigan only beat two teams with winning records,' they'd probably get roasted.

But I'm not trying argue with you. Personally I felt FSU had a much better resume than Michigan did for the playoff.

My comments are very tame. Michigan fans have been making outrageous comments about our team and schedule. It’s like they only watched Texas, USF and Auburn. Heck, Jim Harbaugh compared Milroe to his back up quarterback in an interview today. They have no respect for Alabama whatsoever.

Yeah but based on that announcement reaction I’d say they are compensating for their obvious fear of what they know is a much more talented roster.

The one and only concern I have is the big 12 refs. The couple of games I watched those dudes threw PI penalties about every other series and our corners and safties are extremely physical especially Arnold and Downs. We might see a few of those flags early.

Michigan is very physical at corner, too.

They’re very good at the slot corner. That guy is potential day 1 pick.

I don’t think their boundary guys have speed to run with Bond and Burton. I think we are going to try to stretch them horizontal opposite side of the nickel and then take shots vertically. The key will be if we can lean on them enough in the run game to be taking shots out of plus down and distance.

Listening to their DC's press conference right now, and I get the impression that's his biggest fear.

If we can burn them deep it will open up the run quite a bit.

Are you guys new Bama fans? A healthy Bama team with multiple weeks to prepare against a team with inferior skill talent?

Bama wins these games by 14+, name a time we haven't.

This will be a typical Bama vs a Big 10 team score. 44-13

I don’t think there will be enough possessions to get out of the low 30s.

Michigan’s style, what I assume is a solid defense that doesn’t make huge mistakes, and our propensity to look like trash on offense for long stretches tells me we’ll do really well to score 27 points.

I just don’t see how Michigan tops 17 points if we play good defense.

I think this is the kind of game where a team could dominate statistically and only end up winning 24-13.
