Alabama has announced a Friday 10 a.m. CT press conference for juniors to make their NFL draft decisions public.

Yup, to the big receiver from Alabama. Extra salt in the wound

Pretty prescient from Crimson Boz and Cobrasize.

It’s just a fact, we never defend the 50/50, ever. Clemson has murdered us twice now with it.

Have we had a DB with the size to do it?

Surtain seems to be the best prospect to become that guy.

Anthony Averett was a great corner until he was physically pushed around.

Seems like we never roll the safeties over to help on those throws.

I'm usually wrong so this kind of crap hurts my reputation

I sure wish that I would have been wrong about this one

That seems like a Saban choice, going back to Mike Evans we haven't helped out on large WR's as much as we could.

I agree...with a year under his belt, Surtain should be even better next season. And with Diggs coming back, and Shyheim Carter most likely as well, we should be much improved overall at CB...

Still though, I miss the days of Dee Miiliner and Dre Kirkpatrick...it was nice to have true lockdown corners...

Re: Smith, that was the first time I've ever seen a player carted off the field and then return to the sidelines so quickly.

I fail to see what’s so “interesting” about Cecil’s response. The NFL combine isn’t till late February-early March. Wouldn’t surprise me if he had some type of ankle sprain.

Like someone else said, I fully believed it was an achilles tear. He wasn’t flopping around in pain. He just kinda laid there and that’s how a lot of guys look when it happens.

Saivion is a pussy. sub par in coverage and SOFT in run support. Generally just seems like the type of person in a friend group that will talk shite to someone and run at the first sign of a fight and leave his friends to handle it. It would not surprise me for a second if he faked that injury on Monday night.

My immediate reaction live was that he was faking it. It just looked that way. Realized he was toast so quickly conjured up and excuse for it. It looked that obvious to me that “he’s faking it” is the first thought that popped into my head in that split second

What is wrong with you people? The whole "he faked it" thing is pure speculation, and you are making claims about his character with no substantiated evidence. So he was a disappointment, but personally attacking a dude with no evidence to back it up is tacky as frick, and it makes you look like a dumb redneck.

Seriously....Savion was solid most of the year not great and sometimes bad. But to act like he was this lazy soft player is insane. He wasn’t lazy the second half vs Georgia or vs OU....remember Surtain was the one getting abused. I think he obviously wouldn’t have started if Diggs wouldn’t have got hurt, he was a JC guy so He was a stop gap for this year anyway. I’m not sure school was ever his thing, so jumping to the league and getting in a camp might be more desirable than being a reserve DB.

What is not speculation is that very quickly after being carted off the field and into a medical exam room under the stadium, he was walking on the sideline with no apparent issues whatsoever.

What's dumb is ignoring that very real piece of evidence.

That kind of shite doesn't stay quiet, someone would have spilled that already. Overall Saban runs a really tight mouthed program, but something that insane would've gotten out by now. It's all just conjecture and projection by people who don't like him for his on the field play.

He didn’t just walk back to the sidelines, his arse sprinted back to the sidelines minutes after looking like he blew his entire knee and needed a cart to leave the field.

That’s not speculation, I watched it happen live.

Call me skeptical.
