Sims, Ridley, and Foster would have made more money if they had an OC who knew how to scheme to a QBs strengths and develop a QB.

Daboll or anyone else can't make Hurts see. Hurts has a vision and comprehension issue.

I don't think vision is the word I'd use. Some guys just have an innate sense of where everyone is and where they're going to be on the football field. Tua can "see" guys coming open before they're open, elite QBs usually have that trait. Jalen seems to lack that ability, as most QBs do, and also seems to think during a play way too much. A QB "thinks" a lot during a play, but it's a lot quieter in their mind as the thinking is mainly an instinctual dissection of the routes and coverage, and how the players occupy space on the field.

I agree that Tua does see some guys before they are open. But, regarding Jalen, there's video and photos of guys who are wide open by several feet and Jalen doesn't see them.

There is. This is really neither here nor there, I'm mostly arguing semantics, but my point was just that it wasn't like Jalen didn't see guys open, it was just he was in his head too much.

Have you ever played the NCAA college football games or Madden? Do you know when you start hot with a QB, say 10/10, and you start thinking man I could throw a perfect 100%. Then when someone is open you see it, but you hesitate to throw because you start thinking too much about how it could be incomplete?

That's the best comparison I can make off the top of my head. Obviously Jalen isn't trying to complete 100% because he's already thrown incompletions in games when he's not throwing to wide open guys, but the main takeaway of the comparison is overthinking. Jalen sees someone is open, but he thinks too much about what could happen. He doesn't trust it and throw it. And sure, it helped him throw only 1 INT last season, but it really handcuffed us more than anything. He's just not a natural passer.

The point about vision isn't necessarily wrong, I guess, like I said I'm basically just arguing semantics.

This is your opinion. People respond to different teaching styles and systems regularly. I’ve worked with college age students who were terrible at math in high school who have worked with tutors who taught to their learning style and used math techniques they could better comprehend and they were able to get college degrees in some math intensive majors. There is no reason to believe our QBs would not have responded to a different coach.

It happens. Almost every year, there's a bunch of solid/stud NFL players that go undrafted due to circumstances beyond their control.

Get ready to add Gehrig Dieter to the list, he's slowly making his way with the Chiefs.

I thought Sims was used a ton, all things considered. Didn't he have 2 knee surgeries?

I don't think most people are claiming he wasn't on the field. They're saying we never got him the ball.

Salute to Cam.....he has the hardware and rings for sure. The guy sure had bad luck with injuries. I hope he can make a bunch of money in the coming years.
