I drank one of the Suspended Moments last night. It was good, but not as good as some of their Light Vision releases. I haven't tried the other two yet. Trying to pace myself until I can get back to Birmingham.

That's my least favorite of the 4 you purchased, but I don't really like cinnamon in beer.
Not frequently, but when the mood strikes, when it's cold out during the holidays, they can hit the spot. Always look forward to Xocoveza in winter.

Orpheus did cinnamon in their Ferryman last year...but killed it with a gimmicky ghost pepper addition too.

When done well, peppers can be a good addition. Westbrook's Mexican Cake with habanero, for example.

I agree, this was an odd misstep. Its certainly not bad, just maybe a tad too outside compared to it's Ferryman predecessors. It didn't add to an already good stout.

This one is very tasty. Sometimes I get weary when they use so many hops, but I definitely recommend this one.

They didn't have that at Hop City on Saturday.
I would have bought it.

I’m not gonna lie, I’m not a big beer drinker, but these photos are changing my mind

Trim Tab has been going heavy on the hazy low bitterness IPAs lately, and doing a fine job of it.
I've sort of migrated back to the danker IPAs lately. Market is a bit saturated with the hazy stuff.

Just cracked a Dripping Gold.
Damn it is good.
It's not as hazy as I thought it would be.
I had some Rikki Tikki from Straight to Ale last night. That was pretty dank.

I've enjoyed just about everything Straight to Ale has to offer, even across styles. Not sure how that happens with different breweries.
Also agree about Piggly Wiggly being a low-key great place to find craft beer, especially when you can't make it downtown to Hop City.

Just opened my first Theory of Abundance.
Pretty, pretty good.

Out of curiosity, what does a bottle a craft beer run you in the US? I ask to compare to local craft beer prices where I'm at.

I find it so fascinating that like 4 or 5 years back in my craft beer infancy, I could not tolerate Monkeynaut and couldn't even finish a can. Fast forward to now, could probably have 2 or 3 just casually with pizza.
Finally got around to trying some rauchbier this past weekend after feedback of "it's a very acquired taste". There was definitely some smoke/meat taste, but I don't think it was unpleasant at all.

It varies a little. 4-packs of 16oz cans run around $15 for most Hazy IPA's. 6 packs of 12oz cans or bottles are in the $10-$12 range. Stouts can be all over the place, especially if they've been aged in bourbon barrels. Then there are some beers they bottle in bombers that are 22oz. I've seen those as cheap as $12, and as expensive as $30-$40. Some of those can fetch over $100 on the black market.
But the vast majority are around $1.50-$1.75 per 12 oz can or bottle.

Yeah, that's about half to 1/4 of Costa Rica. At the supermarket, a craft beer (bottle) could be $6 as soon as $3. But prices have come down as the market is saturated and few people want a $6 bottle of beer.
But for sure, in Costa Rica, the height of the craft beer craze was 2-3 years ago. Demand is nothing like it was.

I cannot imagine that Costa Rica's attainability of craft beer is worth noting. No offense. You can get a lot of good things for cheap in Costa Rica, but good U.S. craft beer ain't one of them.

No, almost all of the craft beer is locally produced. None of my options are available to you and vice versa.

Costa Rica is the most expensive Central American country by a mile and probably the 4th most expensive Latin American country overall. It's not as expensive to live in as the US (considering overall cost of living), but imported goods are usually 20-50% more expensive than the US. It's an incredibly expensive country by local standards.

I'm not positive, because I've never had Costa Rican craft beer, but I'm going to assume that it doesn't compare.
