Honestly, Ty was one of the only players who looked like desperate to win. At least you can trust him to work his arse off to improve. Not sure about some of the other tomato cans we have like Proctor.

Proctor is the guy I named for a reason. 366 isn’t an indicator of a freak athlete. It’s an indicator you didn’t give enough of shite in the off season. And today proves it.

Yeah I mean he played really stupid at times, but I thought he played hard. Can't say the same for most of those overpaid bums out there.

Not sure why he's so high on so many draft boards. We've been hearing about how good he is for three years now. I gave him a little break because Milroe never stepped up in the pocket to help with the rush, but the crazy talent I keep hearing about def didn't show up today.

I’d change entire OL before I gave up on Ty. I think Bryce masked a lot of poor OL play. We don’t have that type of smart QB on campus. This was Ty’s first game and he deserves a shot. If he stinks it up during the Wisconsin game pull him and go with Austin Mack.

He’s really good but he came in too got danged heavy. The square-cube law is a thing. Size is good for a tackle but it can be a detriment both in quickness and conditioning.

He was getting gassed out today. That’s a sign something is wrong.

I never questioned Ty’s spirit. He wants it. But does he have it?

IMO Mack is too immobile to survive with this OL. Keelon is a maybe if he knows the playbook.

The lack of run game down the stretch with a new QB on the road is not being talked about enough. 43 pass attempts is too much.

366 pounds is too damn much. I don’t care what his body fat is, toting around that much muscle is going to sap you.

For real.

If that was an ideal weight for a tackle you’d see it in the NFL before you’d see it in college.

Long and short of it he’s out of shape.

Let’s see if he gets it done. I applaud him taking accountability

No, he doesn’t. There was not a single play today that made me think, “Ok, this guy has it”. Lots of “This guy is a fricking idiot” though.

"It" like Tua and Bryce? No. The ability to be an above average game manager? Probably. The rest of this godforsaken excuse for a team needs a QB with "it" though. Even that probably wouldn't be enough. I'm just really glad our AD didn't perform a legitimate coaching search and gave Mike Dubose 2.0 a fortune in guaranteed money.

I’m glad he’s accepting accountability (sign of a good QB and leader). Not all on him but it is what it is.

Thing is if he’s even able to improve to being an above average SEC QB, it won’t be good enough for what this team needs

This team needs someone like Bryce to carry the team. But of course Heisman winners/no.1 overall picks don’t grow on trees

This revisionism needs to stop. DeBoer was coming off a national title game appearance. He took a mediocre program and made them instantly elite. He was the best guy to hire.

Who would you have hired?

I really do like Ty but all I've heard out of this program for the last 2 yrs has been talk. I'm at the shut up & show something phase.

I don't know. It's not my job to perform a coaching search and find out who the best guy for the job is though. Clearly nothing about his personality or communication style works for this program though. Why? Who knows, but again, it's not my job to figure that part out. Byrne deserves so much more heat than he gets. So much more. Not just for this hire either.
