He tried hard to mess it up. He’s doing a good job with loose atmosphere and mudita, but the in game coaching just can’t be this bad.
A coach’s job is to put the players in the best position to win. He puts them in positions to have to overcome. The girls shouldn’t have to overcome the other team, bad umpiring, and bad coaching from their own coach.

Oh I still think he is a terrible in game coach and player developer. But he knows how to identify an Ace pitcher and ride her to OKC. Getting these last 2 teams to OKC is impressive and I can’t hate on him.

And Murphy deserves some criticism this season for sure but he deserves some credit too. Team came out and took care of business tonight.

That’s true. I also give him credit for tweaking the lineup from earlier in the season. His best in game ability is knowing when and who to use as a PH.
