That is pretty close to a shot at BoB.

This is interesting and positive because the ND fans didn’t seem to think he was that great at scheming people open.

I don’t really think so. I mean maybe Bill takes it that way idk, but pointing out what someone does well doesn’t mean you’re shitting on their predecessor

Boz didn't attend today's scrimmage.

They underrate the possibility that their skill players were not skilled enough to get open.

ND just didn’t have the skill players to be elite. That’s why BK went to LSU. Reese will now have all the talent he ever dreamed of. We will see what he’s got.

A source present at Alabama's scrimmage today had this to say about Jalen Milroe:

“He looked 1,000 times better than last year. If he would have played the way he did today against Texas A&M, we’d have beat those guys by 80 points.”

Notes and nuggets from Alabama's first spring scrimmage of 2023

Paywalled, so does anyone have a Rivals sub?

it is a shame BoB did not have him mentally prepared to be a starter last year. I am happy for the young man

They were good enough to get open, they just lacked the right scheme to get them open.

Maybe our QB won’t have to scramble as much and our OL pass block long enough for those 60 yd crossing routes to come open this year

This is the correct answer. Their roster was simply outmatched athletically much of the time

Yep. Their top offensive player was a tight end. He was a first round type of player but still.

The wide receivers are going to be a strength it looks like. Burton, Benson, Brooks and Bond all made plays.

The Killer B's.

Sorry, didn't see MG already posted this.

I'm so excited to see what a new defense has in store for this season with a new offense with a modern minded OC instead of one stuck in 2013 as far as play-calling. I'm highly optimistic for what we will see in the A Day game.

Apparently James Smith had himself a day, with multiple sacks running with both the 1s and 2s.

I actually saw the scrimmage. Jalen looked amazing. Had a sweet TD run too
