The funny thing is, he likely wasn’t even going to start next year. He was trying to get that deal as a likely first guard off the bench. Lol

Is Dalcourt coming back? I think he could be a good guard. He's strong at the point of attack but he's not quick enough to be a really good center.

Challenge the answer if you feel, but guard quickness for pulling and blocking and picking up an inside LB blitz seem more important

Centers that are cerebral and can read the D front 7 and call/adjust the scheme while the QB is reading protection seems more valuable

I agree with that. I think that DD doesn't entirely lack quickness. But he doesn't have the ability to get to the second level like Seth McLaughlin. I don't see DD being a great pulling guard. But I do think his strength, knowledge, and experience can be put to use even if he isn't the starter at center.

God I hope not. One of the worst olinemen we’ve ever had start for Saban at Bama.

Tuscaloosa News projecting next year’s SEC starting quarterbacks
quote:

Alabama
We project: Ty Simpson (or a transfer)

Competition also features: Jalen Milroe, Eli Holstein, Dylan Lonergan

Logic: Milroe is an impressive athlete, but his relief appearances for Bryce Young pointed to an unpolished passer who is too loose with the football. Simpson, a former five-star recruit, is more of a mystery, but after a year of seasoning, he may be poised to trigger the offense as a more consistent passer than Milroe. Holstein and Lonergan are four-star freshmen. If the spring reveals neither Milroe nor Simpson is up to the task, Nick Saban may need to consider a transfer, although he’s shown no indication of jumping on college football’s latest trend: the portal quarterback.

He's a strong safety not a man-to-man lockdown corner

It is silly they have him down there covering a speedy small guy in the first place.

Who is running those drills? Pete Golding?

Tank Dell is probably running low 4.3's as well. Hellams is more of a safety/linebacker type.
