NCAA FB Oversight is expected next week to pass a proposal to allow “any institutional staff member” (support staffers/analysts) to coach during practice weeks, sources tell @SINow.
They’d still be prohibited from coaching in a game. It makes legal what’s happened for years.

Strange this proposal comes out right after Michigan gets caught doing it.

It’s going to be quite funny in two years if they don’t put in limits on this when everyone gets mad that Saban has 40 coaches on the practice field every week.

Is there a point where we might start expecting movement on the coaching changes front for Alabama? It’s been utterly silent so far besides Kelly going to Colorado.

Even when Bama isn't playing in the National Championship, Saban finds ways to continue to get exposure for the program.

The only reason for the delay I can see is Saban waiting on Riley and Schumann to finish up tonight to make a real push for both or announcement. Everyone else is done and doubt he goes the NFL route again with the hires. Other than that, who knows.

Is there any indication that Riley and Schumann are the top targets? I mean there hasn’t even been anything announced with BOB and PG

Haven't heard anything. Just doesn't make sense to be so quiet. Maybe on the situation with BoB, they were waiting on the Patriots to officially be done with the season?
What's really strange is that you don't have any of the usual agent talk that arises when schools are looking. When a school starts calling around, you'll have multiple agents leak info to push for their client raises, extensions, etc. I don't know of any talk of Bama contacting schools. It leads me to believe that Saban has his replacements already worked out and he's waiting on someone's season to end.
Your guess is as good as mine though. Worst case is bringing both back in same position but we've been told by trusted people that is not the case.

I doubt there will be any announcements made until replacements are cinched.

I don't recall seeing much of this at the coordinator level. this is more a phenomena of head coaches. Coordinators who can't keep it quiet generally don't get hired.

On OC it's a wild guess. on defense side, likely Leonhard or Lake that's my opinion.

Those two and Schumann are the names that seem to be mentioned the most. May end up being someone off the radar, though.

Alabama Football Finishes No. 5 in Final AP Top 25 of 2022 Season (SI)
The Crimson Tide's big win over the Kansas State Wildcats in the Sugar Bowl wasn't enough to gain it any more spots in the final poll.

Interesting since I was told it was ignorant to think Ohio State would finish ahead of Bama in the final poll.

This is the AP. The AP doesn’t matter

In the original thread, it was a general question of where Bama would finish. In this instance, OSU finished ahead of Bama as I said, whether you think it matters or not.

But obviously his response in that thread was not ignorant. If someone called him ignorant, they deserved the back slap.
