Looks like Latu is open on that play for a pretty easy pitch and catch. But besides that, yeah, frustrating to look at.

OL is the least of our issues, unless you are taking about Dalcourt starting over Seth.

We have several issues to fix if we can but OL is definitely one of them. We will just have to agree to disagree on that one

Lord knows I'm not a coach, but it looks to me like the quickest and easiest fix is to have Williams (#5) get out into the flat quicker once he sees his blocking isn't needed. That would force the OLB / corner on the right side to commit to defending either Latu or Williams and open the other for an easy completion.
Again, based on how State was playing us, it looks like we could have made a living with screen passes to the halfback in the middle of the defense all day long. Heck, even a shovel pass would have worked. I don't recall any screens inside the hashes, though.

the spacing or lack thereof between Burton, Brooks and Earle
Certainly not the first time this year that at least two receivers have seemingly been occupying the same space — it's been happening noticeably more often.
In this instance though (hard to say based on a still), it looks like maybe an inverted cover-2/robber, which can be susceptible to flooding one area, especially if you can beat that mike from getting back (we didn't).
I guess we should've been running a deeper post/fade here to clear out underneath, but I also don't know what they were showing pre-snap that could've baited us into those more shallow 10-yard routes.
Spot on about taking too long to develop though, especially since we didn't appear to actually affect the coverage over the top at all.

The only thing that aggravated me was how predictable we were and are. State blitzed the gap on run plays and dropped 8 on the passing plays. If we ever changed it up on them we coulda easily busted a big run or had 1 on 1 coverage.

It just seems like our playcalls do not do a good job of isolating playmakers. I refuse to believe that our WRs are too slow and quick to be able to get open off of the line of scrimmage. And it seems like more often than not, any kind of screen we run results in half the defense immediately on the back or receiver waiting to make a gang tackle.
Also, our explosive backs only need a small crease to break big runs, and our Oline couldn't even do that on Saturday.

Bryce had all day to throw. Penalties and run blocking could improve but with Seth in the lineup we are significantly better.

Yeah, we don't really seem to run any sort of quick-release plays, other than those dadgum tunnel screens.

Sure against a 3 man rush I would hope so. Our run game has GOT to improve . I know you can see that . Saban has hinted at it this year about not being physical enough and he has given Booker at shot bc of this . When a team rushes four or a blitz , one to two OL get beat. Bryce isn’t running around bc he wants to . With BY I don’t get caught up in pass pro as much bc I know he can get out of a lot of pressure . Our lack of push in the run game and lineman looking around lost (see pic above and numerous times this year )is alarming to me
Edit - I will add that it is mainly our interior line play and evaluations but we have missed on some across the board so far. I know it takes some longer to develop there but with the portal I am not sure it matters or how many are patient enough to stick it out and develop

Last one and I'll let it go. This is Tua at the top of his drop on 2nd 26. See the difference? Same 3 X 1 set. Georgia drops 7 where MSU drops 8 in the previous post but conceptually it's not super different. The key points...
I can't stress this one enough. DEVONTA GETS ON TOP OF HIS GUY AS FAST AS HE CAN. He would be affecting the safety if Tua hadn't looked him off so brilliantly.
Look at the spacing from Irv to Jeudy to Ridley. If Tua decides to go where the play is designed (in my opinion Jeudy 1, Irv 2, Harris 3), look at the giant hole Jeudy is running into. Or Tua can drop the ball over the LB to Irv. The check down to Damien gets 10 maybe 15.
This play is everybody's playbook. The routes complement each other. They're running to 3 different levels on the right. Devonta gets depth quickly on the left giving the safety no time to react. They forced UGA to have to process quicker than they were capable...you know, what opponents do to us. Brian Daboll, who drove us all crazy at times, called this play. The offense can be fixed by simply digging up a playbook we already have.

Yeah our concepts are not always good IMO. Seems we don’t put the defense in many “either or “ situations these days

3-2 Dollar / cover-3 robber (deep) - Max Zone - should kill anything over 10 yards beyond the LoS. The route tree blend run on this play is nothing short of insane. Ever route was into the teeth of the D design.
