Texas is down to two receivers
This made it sound like they only had 2 healthy WRs, instead of being down 2 WRs.

They had 19 listed on roster. I'm not sure how many are scholarship. Hall is still listed, but noted suspended.

That sucks for Texas.
I’m pump for this season and going to brag a bit. I’ve got season tickets in the Terrance club and parking in the ten hoor lot. I put the money in for the family to enjoy the season and have a great experience going to all of the home games.

Randolph as a starting LG doesn’t give me the warm and fuzzies. Is Cohen really out of shape from a month of treatment?

It might be a combination of things, someone said on the last page it looked like it was rotational at LG.
It could be a reward thing for Randolph returning, he's worn a lot of hats for Bama and Saban always values experience. He may not get the job, but the attempt was there.
Alfred McCullough was a great swing tackle who made spot starts at LTs and RG for that 2011 team. Randolph could end up in that type role, along with TE.
It's a new OL coach as well, he may not have the same affinity for certain players versus previous coaches. Cohen was one of Kyle Flood's favorites, but Marrone really only cared for the guys he could list on his résumé...

With Bama reaching No. 1 in the AP poll for a 15th straight season under Saban, be aware that the next-longest streak for any program is 7 seasons and for any coach is 6.

I was so hyped for Anoma. Thought he would be a slightly lesser version of what Will Anderson is today.

Million dollar talent, two cent brain.

Dude is going to end up playing at 4 different D1 schools in his college career. As they say, if you smell shite everywhere you go, check your shoe.

King Mwikuta went back in the portal earlier this month. LINK
That's 2 linebackers I had high hopes for, but didn't work out. Both transferred out of Alabama and now transferring again.
Alabama linebackers need to get back to LBU.

Why is this news, two or three schools removed?

I think that applies more to Alfano than Anoma. By all accounts Anoma had some legit issues working against him that were more or less out of his control.

While fans are an important component of college athletics, it actually is more about the students than you. It's more about the university than you. Perhaps it's easy to lose sight of that if you're not an alumni, but at least from my perspective, I want the program to benefit the students and the university writ large before me. Now if I can help in that by being an engaged fan, and if the University can increase my engagement by delivering a great product and media access and the like? Great. That's an awesome piece of the puzzle. But not the core mission.
Going to disagree here. Yes since Saban has arrived the university as a whole has greatly benefited with increased enrollment, especially out of state, and other sports have reaped the benefits. So yes overall increases the experience for the student but without the fans being a large part of that equation there would not be a program at this level.
Large media deals do not equate student experience when determining the amount of money being discussed. Advertisers on those networks do not focus on the student. These media deals where the majority of the money is generated for the program is focused on getting the product in front of the fan. It is expanding access to fans all over the world not just in TTown. Even on game day the student factors in very little on the amount of money for tail gating, concessions, merchandise, and tickets.

This isn't just a business.
It actually is as tuition does not pay for the salary of Saban or his staff. Tuition is not paying for the athletic facilities at the level UA has. The program benefits from the multitude of fans, both alum and not, who are investing in the program financially.

That's an awesome piece of the puzzle
The puzzle pieces evolves around the fan and their support that the university can cash in on, which in the end creates an awesome experience for the students currently enrolled at the university when the program is at a high level.
