I so glad to see him smiling, but this hurts me. I honestly didn’t want him as our coach, but he did a great job. Old age is undefeated

Yeah but I hope that, if I am lucky enough to even make it to 87, I am able to get around just needing a cane and have enough of my mind left that I can articulate a coherent opinion about a topic as relatively complex as NIL and the transfer portal. All things considered he's in pretty good shape.

BOL didn't include Harrell in their list of WRs. I assume he is going to start at one of the spots. Should probably leave us with a top 3 of:
Harrell
Brooks
Burton
Not sure who is 4 and 5, probably Leary and Holden, maybe one of the freshmen. Earle I assume is the backup slot guy and PR. I think any of those 3 guys could emerge as the top target. It's also possible that one of the 4/5 WRs moves up into that top 3 and shows out. There is talent across the board but nobody has put it all together yet. Brooks could have a breakout year and Harrell seems to be Jameson 2.0.
Eta: one other note on the WRs, frick agiye hall

The article did say May enrollees might end up in the mix. Maybe Harrell wasn't listed because he hadn't yet announced his commitment when the article was written.

Is Surge Charlie Potter?
I've never seen them in the same room together.
Is JC Latham the heir apparent at RT? He didn't look overly impressive in the ADay game. But I'm not sure who is pushing him at RT. Is George strictly at Guard now?

Bryce needs to work with these WR's over the summer and find his go-to guy. It was Jamo before he went down; if Bryce was feeling uncomfortable in the pocket, he just looked for and threw in the direction of #1 and most of the time it worked out. When Jamo hurt his knee, he tried to turn to the TE's, especially Latu more, but it was shaky at best. He needs that comfort level with Harrell or one of the young guns so he has his security blanket to throw to when our undeveloped OL gets blown up.

We need a prolific quick/short passing game.

It was working for us for the most part this past season. Personally, I do agree with you, but we need to continue to improve deep Ball threat. Young was improving in that area But still not consistent.
Miami- 1/6 94 yards
Mercer- 0/5 for o yards
Florida 1/3 for 26 yards
USM 2/4 for 50 yards
Ole Miss 2/4 for 50 yards
TAMU 1/5 for 29 yards
Miss St 0/1 for 0 yards
Tenn 3/5 for 119
I think He struggled after that.
So We need to clean that up. We need to be averaging 3 deep passes per game. The potential is there.

with the speed that was recruited in the last couple of classes and the addition of Harrell, seems there could be a couple of deep threats on the field for each play. With the other WR and Gibbs for the short/intermediate routes, I have great expectations for this upcoming season. While everyone had different opinions of Slade last season, I think that the potential for this season is much greater (just need this potential to mature like Jamo and JMIII)
