Is this your guess at what the starting OL will be?

Barely. They enrolled in January 2011

Damn, over a decade, now that’s commitment.

Not sure this years OL will be any better than last. Sounds like we are very thin. That suck considering the QB and RB’s we have.

recall we have a new OL corch who will make them better.

I think 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Mean and nasty

Just keep defenders out of Bryce’s lap and I’ll be happy.

Do you think Kight is ready? I really think Cohen could slide outside easily but that's just me

Have we just had some bad evals for 2 or 3 classes on OL? Can't figure out how we've gotten in this situation.

In all honesty, I think we had a very bad o line coach! I hate to say it like that but at this level shoot you need a technician coaching these guys and I think we finally found one.

Kight is pretty close to ready. I could see him at RT & Latham at LT. I don't think Cohen is quite big enough to move to tackle. I agree that Marrone was the problem last season.

This is really sad because I have seen videos online of Marrone breaking down film giving tips and instruction to other coaches. So the guy was completely incompetent and showing other coaches what they should be doing, makes sense.

Marrone has been a good OL coach, but he knew Bama was just stopgap free money until a NFL job opened up. He ended up mailing it in.

Karl Dunbar came to Bama with the same mindset of going right back to the NFL, but he actually did a spectacular job with the DL. He got grief for that Langham recruiting debacle, but seems so insignificant now considering Langham couldn't even break UF's 2 deep before transferring.

Cohen has shaped his body for it, but they don't want to kick him outside if they don't have to. They want to see if the "talent" shows up at OT before moving their best interior guy...

Some folks are good coaches in the NFL but that doesn't necessarily mean they would be in College! Marrone was one of those types!

Karl Dunbar was a technician too!! That translates everywhere.

At this point, I really hope Steen decides to join. If he’s wanting a “guarantee” he’ll start then yeah that would change my opinion of him a bit

if he’s not confident that he can come in and beat out a 6’4 295lb LT, then maybe he lacks the type of mentality it takes to win a championship

Maybe, but we also have an OC who calls plays almost like he’s trying to highlight whatever protection issues we have.
