I don't watch much Bills football at all and haven't really kept up with Daboll's development as an OC since he left us, but my impression of that game yesterday was that Josh Allen (and his receivers) carried the performance. Almost didn't matter the play that was called at some points, and Allen saved quite a few after they had broken down.

I would say Daboll deserves a good bit of credit for helping to develop Allen. He was fricking awful as a rookie in 2018, and has gotten better and better ever since Daboll was hired. Obviously part of that is just the natural progression of a talented player, but they also changed a lot of what he was doing mechanically and the result has been a steady and significant improvement in his accuracy.

Didn’t want this day to pass without a nod to the Bear. Still remember it like it was yesterday. Incredibly sad day.

On This Date in Crimson Tide History:
January 26, 1983: Paul W. “Bear” Bryant passed away at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa at the age of 69. Bryant had entered the hospital the previous evening after complaining of chest pains while visiting long-time friend Jimmy Hinton.

I was in first grade and had just gotten home from school. I was sitting on the floor playing, when the news broke on tv. Everyone was in shock

Long live the Bear! I, too, remembered where I was— waiting for the bus at Grandview Elementary School in Dothan , AL.

was a DEC 1982 grad and flew off to LA for job interviews when he died. It was just a blurb on the TV and came home to wall to wall coverage

Alabama's biggest strength heading into 2022 season
quote:

“You’ll have to keep a close eye on the quarterback when Alabama plays, and not just because the Crimson Tide return Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young, who threw for 4,872 yards and 47 touchdowns in his first season as the starter. You’ll have to watch the opposing QB carefully as well because Alabama’s defense possesses what promises to be the best pass-rush tandem in college football. On one side at outside linebacker will be Will Anderson Jr., the presumptive first-round draft pick who led the country in sacks (17.5) and tackles for loss last season (31). On the other side at outside linebacker is Dallas Turner, who came on like a rocket late last season with 5.5 sacks in the final four games, earning Freshman All-America honors.”

A Look at Some of Alabama's Possible Combinations for Next Season's OL

New Crimson Tide offensive line coach Eric Wolford will have a lot to work with in his first year.

Alabama’s newest assistant will have his work cut out for him this offseason. According to multiple reports, Eric Wolford is set to take over as the Crimson Tide’s offensive line coach this season after spending the past year in the same role at Kentucky.

He’s in for a busy few months.
