"A little insight on this: I don't think suspension is the right word. I heard Baker and Khyree Jackson were demoted to scout team for recently breaking a rule. Nothing too severe, which is why I don't think suspension is the accurate way to describe it. Also, this happened prior to the Texas A&M game, FWIW." -- Charlie Potter

Listening to that I can see why Saban likes Anderson and lets him interview. You can tell he answers questions almost as close to Saban does and gets irritated with some.

Also when asked what he said to the players in the locker room after the game he did not answer but you can tell it was not pleasant for those in the locker room.

I have a feeling this defense needs his leadership if they want to make it to another title.

I’m short I wouldn’t want to be MSU, after the tidbits I heard today. The corner might have been rounded.

This is our biggest problem. We let a slow white boy stand back there and pick his nose, and throw to wide open receivers. None of the D linemen can put any pressure on the QB.

Upvoted, because I want this to be true so badly, but as far as the defense goes - I’m gonna need to see actual results on the field.

I heard too much talk & hype about this unit before the season started, only to be sorely let down with their performance thus far.

And I’m not doubting the content of what you heard, and I do appreciate the info you bring to the board. The corner turning is just very long overdue for Golding & Co.

Don’t feel bad. I love Boz and everything he brings to this board for those of us that get our info here. With that said, I agree, this defense is nothing but talk until proven otherwise. All Golding talks about is being physical and fast. All we are is lost and a step behind. Until we dominate several opponents in a row without becoming MENTALLY WEAK, I don’t believe a damn thing, empty words.

I agree. Saban preaches about learning from mistakes and "stacking" consistent performance. Although Golding's simplified gameplan and its results vs Ole Miss were a big step forward from the shitshow vs UF, he then reverted two steps backward vs A&M. Golding needs to show he's correcting his mistakes, instead of repeating them.

We have given Golding 2 years and half a season and if he has shown us one thing it is he is consistent.

Consistent to go back to his delayed blitz with man coverage.

If we are winning anything this year it's because of our offense.. just like last year.

So we need BOB to be a better play caller, Bryce to be accurate and learn how to throw a deep ball, our young WRs to step up and take the reigns (along with Jameson, our TEs to focus and Saban to pull the plug on Owen's at RT and trust one of the young kids to figure it out and solidify our line.

It isn't impossible. We have the talent to win it all. We just need better coaching and we need the immaturity of our team to disappear.

These kids can't even focus for an entire game.

With the shitshow vs A&M, I've lost all hope I'd gained in our defense vs Ole Miss. I can no longer expect players coached/led by Golding to perform their jobs well.

It's been like that the past three seasons.

We're Saban's Alabama and we need to outscore our opponents to have a chance in any challenging game.

It's sicken when we see Kentucky play good defense, Arkansas, Georgia, etc.. it isn't like good defense is extinct.

It isn't. We even will have a good run when Golding sticks to adjustments or we have kids individual brilliance overtake a game. We never have consistency though because the guy is just a horrible play caller.
