I will watch as many games as we play. Sorry to disappoint you. Doesn't mean I will enjoy them nearly as much as pre-dystopia.

I really feel like this year's defense is going to be a lot like 2016s defense. First stringers put the game away in the first half, then the backups come in and secure the shutouts in the second half

I hope you are right b/c I don't think we are going to score as much as last year. We can't give up the points like we did in the Ole miss and Florida games.

Last year was a unique situation because of COVID and the talent that came back. It helped that the team didn't have to play in front of any hostile crowds. That could have made a difference in some games. But this offense is still talented. It needs to come together quickly, though. Miami is going to be no slouch and then the Swamp in week three.

Don't get me wrong, this is modern college football and we will give up points to good offenses, but I feel like we should be able to lean on our defense this year more than we could the past few years. Our offense will be good to great. How good, depends on how well Bryce and the recievers come along. I have no doubts about our running backs, and I feel like our o-line will be great also. Just need time to gel. Definitely drinking the crimson Kool aid with crimson glasses on right now though

I agree, On paper, they should be fine, but a few turnovers here and and there and we will need that strong defense.
