Yeah, based on that it should be moved to Friday night or somtime Sunday.

I'd imagine they're going to wait until sometime tomorrow to make a decision.

Why not just move the game to Tuscaloosa?..

It's not like home/away matters this year

Seriously, why is this even a question?? LSU moved their game to Mizzou, why not move ours? They can even let the Mississippi fans in, it's not a huge deal.

Based on the BOL article and the latest track prediction, it's starting to look like they won't move the day/time of the game.

What they haven’t factored in is Delta is going to get another shot of that warm Gulf water and shoot right back up to a much stronger storm, more than they expected. I’m expecting a low end Cat 3 at landfall. That will cause some changes to the forecast and something will have to be done about the game. I still think the time or the location will have to be moved.

The SEC office is closely monitoring the Delta forcasts. Reports I've read say high altitude wind and cooler water of the northern Gulf will limit how much strength it gains, but it's expected to gain size (spread of rotational winds). It's also expected to weaken all the way down to a tropical depression (< 39 mph winds) by the time it reaches northern MS.

Latest Projections. The storm is moving further West and it looks like Tuscaloosa is no longer in the projected path. Might just be better to move it to BDS

I think we will be able to play it in Oxford. It will be wet but we should be able to get it in

Reports from the Hurricane Hunter aircraft indicate that maximum sustained winds are near 100 mph (155 km/h) with higher gusts.

Strengthening is forecast, and Delta is expected to become a major hurricane again by tonight.

Some weakening is forecast when Delta approaches the northern Gulf coast on Friday.

As someone posted though it looks have moved slightly to the west. They should just move the game to TTown and play at Ole Miss next year. With the limits on fans and no tailgating it is not like Oxford businesses will miss out much and a win for them to have it home next year if full fan capacity is allowed.

Even if the storm has moved on by game time no telling what road conditions and possible power outages will be like in the area and where emergency personal could be better used in areas that do get hit.

There aren’t going to be any power outages in northern Mississippi because of 20-25 mile an hour winds.

Is the 20-25 mile an hour winds, sustained winds? If so, you have to account for probably 45-50 mile an hour wind gusts.

Their is no reason to play the game in Oxford on Saturday when a significant hurricane is suppose to come right through around game time. You don't want to play the game right after either because you don't know what the conditions will be.

If they want the game played in Oxford, it needs to be Friday night. If they want it play on Saturday, move it to BDS.

Its very simple, SEC making shite complicated.

No 20-25 is frankly on the higher side of any estimation at this point. The storm will be a depression, at best, by the time it gets to the state of Mississippi. I don’t know what they’ll do but I don’t know why people are so certain it should be moved. The state of Mississippi will likely have zero power outages as a result of this storm. Football can be played in rain and some wind. The average wind forecast on Accuweather for Oxford Saturday night is 13mph. 13.

This is simply not true.

I think a bigger risk than power outages would be spin off tornadoes if there's still a lot of rotation in the storm when it reaches that area. Oxford is far enough inland that I don't think that's a huge concern though.
