Geez man, if you dont jack off every single one of our players then you are too critical and suck. I agreed with your thoughts on Sanders. Obviously he did not have much running room but he did not run hard and went down on FIRST contact every single time. There is probably a reason he is running behind Robinson. Hopefully he flips it around but not impressed after 1 game, but hope he becomes the GOAT. It is literally just an opinion and everybody gets mad lol

He wasn't horrible (outside of the TD pass he dropped that hit him in the hands, that was pretty horrible.) There was just nothing great either. No long runs, no great receptions, just a lot of 1-2 yard gains with a couple of 4-5 yard runs mixed in. Meh performance at best. Which is not what you want to see out of a senior RB you're counting on for depth so Najee can get a breather.
B-Rob's 4 carries were for 9, 4, 4, and 1. The 1-yarder was after Bryce and Sanders had already been playing, so the same line that got Sanders stuffed play after play.
He did have the bad drop, but that was it from a negative perspective on him.
There wasn't "a lot" of anything. He only had 4 carries.
This was a pretty decent 9 yard gain.
He catches that wide open drop and its 5 touches for 41 yards and a TD on the night.

neither b-rob nor sanders had anywhere to run. the ol did not open any holes for them.
now in some alternative football universe that may equate to the rb's being at fault, but not to me.

I’ve never thought that B Rob was a very good running back. Has nothing to do with the Missouri game.

I am super proud to have Waddle. Man! I can’t remember us ever having such a dynamic pass catching machine. The diving catch over the middle whilst getting hit by two players was unreal. He made another catch that was unfortunately out of bounds that was highlight reel worthy. That guy’s a super elite athlete.
Also, Mac Jones made some elite plays and did nothing to get us beat. He was more than solid. He was very good.
Najee ran extremely well. Guy is what we always hoped he would be now.
The defense, while the game was still close, was night and day to last year. They flew to the ball. I would like to see them a little stronger in the middle, but the elusive Qb and the stuff to the edges and the eye candy plays are going to be much less effective against us this year. Bruising middle runs might be a weakness. That is a wait and see.
Our pass defense might be outstanding given our ability to rush the passer now. Robinson was on the move and having to adjust all day.
And finally, my dear friends, did you see it? In the first quarter we had first and goal on the 5 and ran three straight middle runs to punch the ball in. DANCING BANANA!
BY us going to be a good one. Didn’t panic and made plays. Obviously he needs time to learn the playbook. Didn’t do anything to get us beat.
Second I-line was a serious drop off, but they don’t have any patsies to get their feet wet with. I think they were going against Missouri ones. Our first online mashed ‘em.
Very good run and pass blocking from online. I can only recall one negative play and that was the little flip back play that lost 11 or 12.
TL/DNR We got talent and we comin’.

Obviously JMHO and to be clear, I'm super happy with the team's performance, especially considering this was their first game after an insane offseason, so really any criticism is just nitpicking.

Yep. If he didn't drop an easy catch, everyone who's been saying he was "meh" would be saying he played great. Even great-hands WRs occasionally drop an easy catch for a TD. But I must admit I did yell at my TV, "Come on man! You GOTTA make that catch!"

Many times over the years our o line hasn't been great in our opening game but they show so much improvement as the year progresses. If this is any indication, our o line is going to be one of the best we've ever seen. They looked great !

Our Oline looks much quicker. I liked what I saw out of the 1st string.

I could not find the thread from the poster that showed updates from BDS and surrounding renovations. Anyone know if those are completed?

You just summarized Robinson as a player.

I'll say this about Sanders. I think all the critiquing is true as well as the stuff about no blocking for him. Buta s for the going down at first contact, I'm not surprised. The guy is coming off a pretty bad knee injury, he doesn't trust it yet. He will probably spend the rest of this shortened season testing out and growing comfortable with it. I don't expect huge things from him this year but I still think he can be a stud. It all depends on if he can get over his mental thing with the knee.

I thought Sanders had a foot injury last year?
Posted on 9/28/20 at 2:03 pm to bamabaum
I thought Sanders broke his foot too. Maybe he broke it on his knee.

He broke his foot. Many people on here acting like he tore his ACL lol

Guys what is going on with Keilan Robinson? Is he coming back?
Posted on 9/28/20 at 4:38 pm to Sebastian
Maybe you missed it, but I've posted the following about KRob a few times:
Saban has said UA won't disclose info on specific players about their health or opting out, unless the player authorizes it. That's likely why we aren't seeing any posts from BOL staff or "insider" posters indicating whether or not Keilan Robinson is expected to return to UA at some point. It appears we'll have to just wait and see what happens.

How many people have you seen on here acting like Trey Sanders tore his ACL? I'm on here a lot and I don't recall seeing more than two saying they think he injured his knee.
