Mack is one of those guys who, even if he ends up being a great NFL player with All Pro accolades and a shite ton of endorsement deals and national name recognition, I would rather stay the frick away from our football facility and players.

I think when Ruggs' tape is played they will see a guy with game breaking speed, a special teams guy, huge hands, and a great blocker. There no shame in going in the second round but Ruggs has a total game that will pay dividends in the NFL.

I really think Mack didn’t be have much to do with it or it would have been the same agent. I know they threw one hell of a party last night together though..lol.

Ruggs will be like John Ross out of UW, he'll rip off a sub 4.3 and go top 15.
And he's probably got better move skills than Ross. He's got the most potential out of the 3 juniors, but least polished.

Question for the board: Is Drew DeArmond reliable or FOS?
Posted on 1/4/20 at 4:23 pm to BamaBo7
Be that as it may, Mack just seems like the kind of guy who isn't going to give good advice to any young player even if he has good intentions. He isn't a frick up like Reuben and Rolando, but he is every bit as immature if not moreso.

Until he starts making those kinds of bad decisions it’s incorrect to call him more immature than either of those guys.
It might be more accurate to say football wasn’t as high a priority for Mack while he was here as it was to the other two.

You can't hold missing tackles against a backup with what we just saw from the starters for 13 games. This had to be the worst tackling team since Nick arrived.

I’m honestly confused about this whole Mack Wilson thing. I get it, he had a bad junior year, but what has he done to make him receive some of the backlash he receives? I’m not defending him or anything, just never understood what did he do besides send a few tweets

He starts on KO cover, which is what was being referred to.

Mack left early and some feel he was selfish for doing so. And, then Mack got in the NFL and didn't suck. The players are always criticized first before the coaches...even Golding has gotten more of a pass than I believe he deserves.

Jeff Rutledge was a back-up for 14 yrs.
McCarran is going to try to match that record. Haha

I felt like this was the issue, but was not sure.

Yeah, man I had a guy, a fellow Bama fan argue me down that Mack isn't as good as Hightower. There's no shame in that. Hightower is having a Hall of Fame career. But, for a guy who looked lost at Bama, got drafted late, and is now a starter in the NFL, Mack is doing damn well. And, Mack being a starter in the NFL is an indictment against Golding in my opinion.

There are a few articles out there about him leaving early. He didn’t have the greatest of seasons, seemed to be more focus on social media, and left early. Saban and staff thought he was coming g back to school and were shocked by his announcement. Don’t think he burned any bridges, but he didn’t leave them intact either. He is definitely doing well in the NFL and glad that he is, but he left some money on the table.

FWIW bamathunderbird on bol knows ruggs personally and said he hasn't signed with an agent yet. He said hes sitting down with his parents to have the first discussion with them tonight about staying or going. Then he posted that we should expect the unexpected and that things have gotten insane.

Has that poster chimed in with correct information about Ruggs before? I'm not saying he's FOS, but anyone can type behind a keyboard that they know a player.
Posted on 1/4/20 at 4:47 pm to Brostache48
But has Ruggs had “contact” with an agent? Bo, what have you heard?
Posted on 1/4/20 at 4:48 pm to RammerJammer91
