Old news and SIAP. JT Daniels staying at USC. It would be pretty surprising if he actually beat out Slovis though

I disagree. I wasn't impressed with Slovis. I think Daniels can beat him. Slovis benefited from a decent OC.

Lewis playing in the senior bowl? But sitting out our bowl? Not a very good look

Lewis is all about him at this point. Then again it's very possible it's been all about him this entire season.

Playing in the bowl game is meaningless for him.

He can practice in front of all the scouts at the Senior Bowl and improve his draft stock.

I don't blame him for sitting out the bowl game, injuries cost him almost two whole seasons. No point in taking a unnecessary risk.

Lewis can do what he wants, it's his career. But if he's worried about injuries, why risk it in either game? If he wants to boost his stock, why not play in both games? Does he think scouts won't watch Bama/Michigan film? Of course they will.

Scooby still hasn’t returned to practice as of today and hasn’t withdrew his name from the portal as it was expected.. hope the kid gets it together and comes back

Yep and as of today Charlie said he has not attended practice or withdrew from the portal.
Maybe he is doing some behind the scenes things for Saban. Him and Jase are cousins, so that might help with him expected to sign with Bama tomorrow.

-- I did not see cornerback Scooby Carter, who is expected to return to Alabama after entering the NCAA transfer portal after the Mississippi State. However, he remains in the portal.

Tua will move up boards as teams see his medicals and can actually feel confident he is healing properly. All it takes is one team buying in for him to jump back into top 3-10 range.

It's really too early for them to project for him anyways. The NCAA should grant players with injuries like this extra time to declare. He could be forced to declare and then could easily have a serious setback before the draft. This should be minimized by the NCAA

is the transfer portal going to end up being a portal for most of these kids to just go and never be heard from again? i mean, geez! how many hundreds are in there right now!

The portal is partially a public version of the kid who goes to a JUCO and you dont hear anything from. Now there is just more juice to it because you hear about the portal first.
