No surprise...

Per sources, #Alabama's Jase McClellan is officially OUT for the 2023 SEC Championship against No. 1 Georgia on Saturday.

McClellan will miss his first game of the season with a foot injury.

Saban in rare form tonight...

Saban on the Italian show he and Miss Terry are currently watching: "We have to read the captions, whatever, the subtitles because it's in a foreign language. And Terry keeps saying, 'Turn it up. I can't hear it.' I mean, what are we doing here?"

Surely justice will get some carries in this game

Typically you go with the hot hand. If neither of our RBs do anything I’d imagine he gets a shot but otherwise he wouldn’t. We have nothing to lose though and will pull out the stops.

Also I still have seen who the refs will be. Why aren’t they releasing it?

That could be a blessing in disguise. I think Jam is our best runner and roydell is serviceable enough in pass protection.

Hurt his back like Ladd did. So hard to come back from quickly.

I was surprised that Jam didn’t get more touches against Auburn.

Jam gets a handful of carries most games in meaningful game time so I’d imagine Justice could be in line for touches as the 3rd string RB in this game.

I always favored Jase over Roydell but honestly lately Williams has been more effective. He’s showing more burst and explosiveness. He and Jam should be ok…but we need special if we can get it and Justice has the juice.

Roydell almost runs like a bigger back even though he’s 5’10 210…if he was 6’2 225 he’d be an All American with his running style.

Gotta think he will. I think Miller however will have a coming out party,IF Rees puts them in the right plays to be successful. Miller to me is better than JM. Faster, and reads holes better. I'm just worried that play calling could revert back to earlier in season and Milroe was getting blitzed and sacked 8 times a game though many were on him.
Experience wise, Georgia has the advantage against a 1st year OC with Kirby overseeing. Our guys had already clinched the SECCG before the Iron Bowl. Hopefully that means they have done their due diligence on a game plan & could be why they seemed OFF a bit in the Iron Bowl.

Jam is very good running outside the tackle. UGA has been gashed with outside runs. Perhaps we'll see that exploited.

I’m sure we’ll let Justice in the game late to run out the clock. No harm in letting the young guys get some reps when we’re up 30 points.

A guy can dream, right?

After Offseason Position Change, Jihaad Campbell Thriving In Reserve Roll (SI)

Once an elite edge-rushing prospect, Campbell has found ample opportunity as Alabama's third inside linebacker.

Damn. That's good news for us but I hate it for the kid himself l.

No. He's been named at least a couple other times. Texas A&M game and LSU game at least.
