FEI Offense:
2023: 21st (Rees)
2022: 8th (BOB)
2021: 2nd (BOB)

FEI Defense:
2023: 8th (Steele)
2022: 4th (Golding)
2021: 5th (Golding)

Maybe the numbers would change if we removed the USF game but im not sure im ready to anoint Rees just yet.

I could care less where the numbers end up if we win the SEC.

We have also faced 5 of the top 18 total offenses so far. This defense is miles better they have just faced stiffer competition

Stuck at 8 in CFP rankings. No surprise. Doesnt matter how much Texas struggles or Oregon’s resume continues to consist of “lost a close one to Washington”, committee has them written in ink ahead of Bama. Maybe fair. Win out and see if they really are willing to keep 1 loss SEC champ out.

I posted this yesterday. For the record there is no reason we move rankings yet.

“I did some hardcore talks with the family at lunch today. Here’s what we came up with:

This assumes Bama beats #1 UGA and Oregon Beats Washington

1. Big Ten Champ
2.FSU
3. Texas
4.Bama

Reasoning Bama would have the best win against #1 UGA and best Loss #3 Texas

Oregon best win against #5 Washington and Loss against the same #5 Washington

Thoughts?

I think this is our path is no one else loses. Hopefully Texas, Washington and FSU lose.”

Yeah we're I'm if we beat UGA. They don't want us in but they will have to cede.

How crazy would it be if Ohio St, Fsu, Washington, and Texas win out, Bama beats uga, and we are left out? 12-1 SEC Champ Bama and 12-1 2 time defending national champ uga, not in the playoff...very possible but just crazy to think...

I also think there will be at least one espn pundit who will still say uga should be in over Bama even if Bama beats them...

It could happen I do think unlikely they all win out. Probably some Vegas bet going on for it.

They have Arizona ranked when they lost to Mississippi State.

This committee is terrible. However even that won't matter because beating UGA would be the biggest victory in years and it would propel us upward

Im just glad we have the opportunity to knock UGA off their throne. And I sincerely think that we will do it. I don't see how they could keep us out if we do that (assuming we win out)

Beat the number 1 team that is on a 29 game win streak and is a 2 time defending National Champ=we are in.

I’m looking for secondary market tickets for SECCG. Really dont want MBS to be 3/4 Uga fans as usual.

Are you trying to argue that we were better on defense under Pete than under Steele?

It’s very possible and just insane to think that could actually happen after what the SEC has done over the last decade.
