"It's great to win," head coach Nick Saban said after the 24-21 win. "It's great to be where we are in the SEC. But there's a difference between beating the other team and winning the game."

Post game injury updates:
quote:
The Crimson Tide (6-1, 4-0 SEC) was without veteran defensive back Malachi Moore, who missed the game with an ankle injury. He took part in warmups, but after the game, Saban said the plan was to keep him on the sideline throughout.
Moore will likely be available next week for Alabama, barring any setbacks in practice in the upcoming week.
Tight end CJ Dippre and linebacker Trezmen Marshall both suffered injuries during the game, but Saban said after the game that he was under the belief neither's was too serious. Dippre pulled a muscle in his leg while Marshall suffered bruised ribs.
Defensive lineman Tim Smith also picked up an injury in the fourth quarter, but quickly walked off under his own power.
The Crimson Tide returned punter James Burnip on Saturday after he pulled a muscle in his leg at Texas A&M last week. He returned to his strong form, punting seven times for a total of 349 yards.

The No. 11/10 Alabama football team defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks 24-21 Saturday afternoon in front of a sellout crowd inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Crimson Tide built an 18-point lead, 24-6, late in the third quarter and held on for the victory to remain unbeaten in SEC play (6-1, 4-0).
With the win, head coach Nick Saban earned his 200th on-field victory at Alabama, improving to 200-28 (.877) in 17 seasons at the Capstone.
Quarterback Jalen Milroe completed 10 of his 21 passes for 238 yards through the air (23.8 yards per pass) and a pair of touchdowns. It is the fourth time in his six starts this season that he has thrown for at least 220 yards and at least two touchdowns. Both Kobe Prentice (2 receptions, 93 yards) and Jermaine Burton (2 receptions, 60 yards) had touchdown receptions in the contest.
Overall, it was a balanced offensive attack as the Tide's 415 yards of total offence included 177 yards on the ground. Running back Jase McClellan led the ground attack with 83 yards on 16 carries (5.2 yards per carry) while Roydell Wiliams added 68 yards on seven rushing attempts (9.7 ypc).
The Crimson Tide defense limited the Razorbacks to 250 yards of total offense led by seven tackles including 1.5 tackles for loss from Jaylen Key. Caleb Downs added seven tackles including six solo stops as he and Key were two of seven UA defensive players who had at least five tackles in the game.

Don’t think RollTide.com got that right; Prentice scored but didn’t Niblack have the other TD reception?

Sec network said we've given up at least 4 sacks in 7 straight games. Most im FBS in the last 20 years. Coaching malpractice. Wolford needs to go now

Saw this on another site (referenced as being from Premium Stats - but everything I saw there was locked). It’s supposedly the average time to throw for SEC quarterbacks when dropping back to pass.
quote:
Carson Beck - 2.38
Brady Cook - 2.35
joe Milton - 2.49
Will Rodgers - 2.49
Devin Leary - 2.57
Peyton Thorne - 2.69
Ken Seals - 2.72
Graham Mertz - 2.74
Jaxson Dart - 2.75
Jayden Daniels - 2.82
Spencer Rattler - 2.89
KC Jefferson - 2.98
Max Johnson - 3.06
Jalen Milroe - 3.40

If thats true it should be eye opening for the few Milroe defenders that claim he just needs an OL. He gets sacked so much because his pocket presence is as bad as Ive ever seen from any starting Alabama QB.

It's from PFF (Pro Football Focus) - their player grades are terrible but stats like this are pretty reliable.

Couldn't this also mean other teams throw more quick passes? Not bombs

It’s also because he struggles with the quick game. Missing high on quick screens (like when he got Benson killed last week) or crossing routes is a disaster waiting to happen.
We have to call them though. Rees has to pick his spots (Quick slant last week) and hope Milroe executes. It would also help out the OL and run game.

Alabama has moved up to No. 8 the US LBM Coaches Poll released Sunday. The Crimson Tide (6-1, 4-0 SEC) were ranked No. 10 in the coaches poll a week ago. Alabama is tied at No. 8 with Texas, the team that beat it in Week 2 at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Aye, it could. Milroe leads the SEC in yards per completion and he’s #4 in the nation; looks like he’s just behind Jayden Daniels in yards per attempt in the SEC…
Also noticed Milroe is 2nd in the SEC in passing efficiency (#9 in the nation); Daniels is first in the SEC (#1 in the nation)…

Bryce vs Tua. So far B Young is winning.
14-0 Panthers.

Thoughts on moving Latham to LT to protect the blind side? Typically in the CNS Era we have done this with the more experienced player after a year or two playing LT.

17th straight win vs Arkansas for @AlabamaFTBL
Bama is 4-0 in SEC play for the 11th time in 17 seasons with Nick Saban as Head Coach.
The next-closest SEC team is Georgia at five times.

It's complete bullshite how Bama stays in the same spot in the rankings but all these other teams make changes every week. Two top 10 teams lost yesterday and Bama in still in the same spot, that's beyond asinine and ridiculous.

Well it doesn’t help we’re struggling to beat these unranked teams
