Scuttle today is that Lonergan is making moves, sounds like he had increased snaps with the second team. Milroe for sure number 1, and Simpson getting most of the 2nd.

That shouldn't be much of a surprise. Unless Buchner had COVID-19, the flu, and dysentery all at the same time last Saturday, it's obvious he's not going to be anywhere close to the top of the pecking order again.

QB rotation is Milroe / Simpson / Lonergan / Holstein or Buchner at this point. We can argue about it, but that's how it is.

We get it bro. No matter what objective information available you are all team Milroe.

Literally screenshot a post a couple pages ago where I said very clearly I wanted Ty to be the guy and if not him Milroe; basically anyone but Buchner.

Yet you say this pathetic weak crap because you don't like the reality that some of us have the maturity to face.

Your other 25+ posts indicate that is BS. Just be objective. You sound like Milroe’s daddy sometimes when you run to his defense.

I'm team Milroe for sure if he's the one starting. I'd be team Simpson if he was the guy. Why would you not be in support of our QB?

I’m in support of whoever is QB1. I do think Simpson will be better in time but will get killed behind this OL. Milroe’s running ability and his size gives him a better chance to be successful with the situation we are in.

Some posters just seem to have a hard on for him and won’t stand for any objective criticism. That’s all.

You mean the 25 plus during the summer where I said we needed to bring in a new QB or Ty needs to make the jump to take the position?

No, you must mean all the post after the Texas game and during the USF game where I dumped on Milroe and requested Ty?

The only one not being objective is you. We have seen all three QBs, it's obvious who is the starter. I just accept it and want us to work with what we have.

Why can't you accept it? Why do you make false accusations about me?

How is this different from what I have said?

I posted this and have been consistent...

Yet you guys randomly throw insults and accusations. Don't even need facts. Don't even needed to be founded on anything.

I wonder why?

The worst part is Saban will lose a game next year before he considers replacing Milroe.

I was just thinking about this the other day. The worst part is that Milroe will be coming back next year "With something to prove". Prepare to hear all offseason about how much work Milroe is putting into improving his passing, and how he's on a mission to prove all of his doubters wrong - and he'll look exactly the same.

We've got 2 years of Milroe on deck, and I think it's actually the death of the dynasty. Somebody made a satirical post about how Milroe is going to nuke the Alabama football program into oblivion, but I think it's actually more accurate than he realized... This is a horrible situation.

I don't know about "nuke it into oblivion" but with him at the helm, I can see Bama going 8-4 and becoming like Ole Miss or Kentucky in football. Pretty decent but nowhere near what we were.

Love CNS and it's hard to argue with his results BUT even if Julian Sayin comes in and just crushes it next August, Coach Saban has a tendency to place a gigantic value on game experience over a more talented younger player who is new or has little game experience.

Barring some injury to Milroe, we're stuck with him for probably two more years. Now, if CNS decides to retire, all bets are off

He literally tried to bench Milroe last week. What more evidence do we need that there isn’t an uber talented guy killing it in practice? Buchner sucks and Simpson’s career trajectory is closer to Blake Barnett than Mac Jones at this point

You obviously haven't heard of the cult of Lonergan.

Yeah, this is the unfortunate reality. Tua sitting on the bench all of 2017 has utterly convinced people that that was a normal situation and not a weird exception. What normally happens though is the backup comes in and shows you why the coaches stuck with the not so great starter. Milroe "won" the job because his teammates like him and the other two guys competing for the job are worse than he is. It basically came down to a question of having an somewhat decent offense that reliably commits a couple of horrible turnovers against competent opponents or having a fully dysfunctional offense that can't really move the ball in general. Both options suck, but the one to pick is pretty obvious.

It's time for Milroe to show up. Couple of games under his belt...at home against a decent opponent after getting Saban's full endorsement. Let's see something today.

I didn’t think we could make a worse coordinator hire, but I believe Rees has taken that title. Shotgun/pistol at the 1 yard line when you know your center can’t snap consistently…

For those who missed the Saban presser after the game, in regard to Lawson:
quote:

Saban on Deontae Lawson: "He's got a sprained ankle. he's gonna be day-to-day. It's a pretty good one, so nobody knows how long it will take him to respond. That's all I can tell you."

Potter Tweet

Curious how we rotate ILBs if Lawson is out next week. Blackshire and Campbell seems like an intriguing combo.
