It’s understandable to have some concerns about Milroe’s one game start going into this season. With green QB’s some fans look at the negatives more than other fans that look at the positives.

Milroe’s one game as a starter to me was a wash. He had bad plays but he also bounced back with good plays. But he played well enough for Saban to see if he could work through it and finish the game. Milroe did and got the win. Wasn’t pretty but he wasn’t the only one that had some frick-ups in that game.

If you look at the the QB’s in the SEC this yr there’s really not one that stands out to be that much better than Milroe.

Will Rogers? I’ll take Milroe
Devin Leary? I’ll take Milroe
Jayden Daniels? I’ll take Milroe
KJ Jefferson? I’ll take Milroe
Spencer Rattler? I’ll take Milroe.
Joe Milton? I’ll take Milroe
Any Ole Miss QB? I’ll take Milroe
Connor Weigman? I’ll take Milroe
Payton Thorne? I’ll take Milroe
AJ Swann? I’ll take Milroe
Graham Mertz? I’ll take Milroe
Brady Cook? I’ll take Milroe
Carson Beck? He was highly ranked recruit but couldn’t bet out Bennet I’ll take Milroe.

So tell me, who on that list would you take over Milroe right now. Who jumps out at you that’s so much better than Milroe?

I'd probably take Will Rogers over everyone on that list.

He’s done more than Milroe and is in the best offensive system in college football.

He’s started two games. Got a big strong arm he’s being pumped up sure, but we don’t know how good he can be yet.

Uga shut down that offense, it can be stopped with adjustments

If we take off the crimson sunglasses and stop the wishful thinking, do we have a single reason to be optimistic?

We know Milroe is not a good QB. The fact that nobody has been able to beat him out is BAD news.

We don't have a single known commodity on offense. Not a single returning playmaker at any position - not even OL.

Our defense has underperformed for years now, and we're all WISHFULLY THINKING that Kevin Steele will make a big difference and make our defense dominant again. Possibly, but how dominant can a defense really be in today's cfb?

We're coming off of our worst season since 2010 despite having the number 1 overall pick at QB. Now we don't even have a QB, but people think we're better off?

The WRs dropping passes has been an issue for the last 2 seasons, and these drop issues only seem to be getting worse - not better.

I see absolutely no reason to be optimistic at all right now, and trust me I'm trying. I don't think 8-4 is out of the realm of possibility right now.

Everyone thinks I'm some doomer fan or a troll, but I predicted that we'd go undefeated last year. Even after some early warning signs, I still thought we'd get it together and win the NC. I'm not a permanently negative fan, but this year's team just seems like a mess.

Like the rest of you all, I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see it. Maybe one of the other QBs will step up and surprise us all, but it ain't gonna be Milroe.
