Paul Tyson will be a good quarterback when his time come. People trying to make him out to be just straight awful. I heard the same thing about Jake Coker and Mac Jones but we all saw how they turned out. I like all the quarterbacks on the roster and ALL of them needs to get better everyday.

That is awful take right here.

1. Paul will be a redshirt junior this fall. 4 years and people are saying he'll be a good qb when his time come? At most he'll be a backup QB at most schools.

2. Why are you comparing him to Jake Coker and Mac jones? That's like comparing apple to Orange. Jake competed for starting job two years in a row with Blake beating him out and Jake winning the job a year later. Mac Jones was a different story. Players and Coaches spoke highly of Mac for years... Tua, Jalen, Damien Harris and others kept saying Mac is going to surprise ya'll when his time came.

Tyson hasn't showed anything where players or coaches are saying "OOOH he might have a chance." He reminds me of Cooper Bateman and David Cornell.. A good qb, but never quite could get starting job.

Tyson was an early enrollee true freshman in 2019 and reshirted that season. So eligibility-wise he was a redshirt freshman in 2020, and without the extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA, he would be a redshirt soph this fall. But since 2019 and 2020 didn't cost him eligibility, effectively he'll be a redshirt freshman again for the 2021 season with four seasons left to play.

Stephen M. Smith is an idiot. I can't believe people actually listen to him.

“My boy JoJo Earlay”

Is that really how to pronounce his name? I’ve been saying it like Earl.

My only problem with any reporters not just him is they will specifically ask a question and then act as though the person being interviewed just came up with that out of nowhere. They’ll ask about a particular player and then write an article saying said player has the coaches buzzing and is making a big impact. Then the season comes around and they redshirt.

But don't they have 'studs' like Javon Baker and *Mckinney waiting in the wings? Those guys aren't freshmen.

Xavier Williams, No. 3, is he still on the team?

Jeudy,Ruggs, and Smitty combined for 36 catches in 14 ballgames their freshman year. How did that turn out?

Granted,of course, the 3 1st yr WRs and JoJo in the summer may NOT be as talented as the 2017 newcomers(Whoever was as a group?..Anywhere)...But we dont have a clue what they are about yet,as far as how good and effective they will be. The only thing we probably know is that these 4 may not be as fast as a group. But not all GREAT WRs have been burners. Several of course. But not all.And these 4 youngsters are'nt turtles either.

Your ignorance of Alabama football is showing in your last two posts. First you slam Slade Bolden despite him not even being mentioned. Holden was mentioned, and that is a different WR. Secondly, we don't have anyone named McKinney. We have a McKinstry, and he is playing defensive back.

I say this with all due respect - get your shite together.

Blocking is something very few WR learn in high school and learning to play fast against good corners takes time. So the "studs" may be very good against high school corners, but now they are playing against "stud" corners. Everyone improves at different rates and we only see the games, not the practices that determine who is best and most consistent
at their positions.

Yeah but those three (Jeudy, Riggs and Devonta) were tearing up practices and scrimmages.

All we heard their freshman years were compliments and heavy praise followed by "just you wait".

Anyways, I'm waiting to see what Jojo can do in the summer. Hope he makes a big impression..

We need to come to terms with the fact that no matter how many blue-chips we bring in, we cant reasonably expect to have a group like Jeudy, Ruggs, Smith, and Waddle on the same roster. Having just 2 1st Round guys is an embarrassment of riches and we somehow signed 4 in 2 years. It would obviously be nice, but we dont need a guy to have a freshman Amari Cooper or Calvin Ridley level impact to have an elite offense this year. And based on recruiting, chances are a new guy will be pretty damn good

I agree Glorious. I would think things are going to get adjusted based on our current teams strengths and might be looking more like the 2011 Patriots that Bill O'Brien ran. If Latu continues to impress than you have to strong TEs, a 3 headed rushing attack and a primary in receiver Metchie. The run game and RB and TE versitility and speed will help Young a lot. Then the remainder of the WRS whether vets or freshman stake claim to those other positions.

When I contributed much more, in keeping with a free and open press, I included articles from TDA; BUT, I always included an introductory Warning so those of us who have a strong opinion of Stephen's writings could scroll on by... I always hate it when he gets ?'s at the pressers... not a fan of his voice.
