Codependency isn't just in the black community and there is nothing wrong with a coach being sensitive to his players backgrounds, upbringings, etc.

Dabo wants to go into this kid's homes and tell their parents to pick him over Saban and others.. so why is it a big ask to be sensitive to what he's doing? He needs these kids and they have enriched his life and Clemson's handsomely, so it isn't that big an ask to not needlessly shoot himself in the foot.

Lastly, if you actually want to teach young men (regardless of their race) to be men; you have to lead by example.

That means owning up to your mistakes and attempting to use your errors to help them avoid committing their own.

Even if Dabo was a person who didn't care at all about what was going on you don't do that just to help your business out which is dependent on black athletes.

For Dabo to supposedly be so in tune with his players and be such an “aw, shucks” kind of guy, he sure is insensitive or unaware of things that might not be appropriate. In another time and place, that shirt doesn’t even get noticed. But st this particular moment, it was a poor choice.

Are you Black? If not, you might not know the manhood deficit that's in Black communities. We have far too many coddled and entitled Black males and not enough Black men. You are hurting these kids by bowing to them and calling something a mistake when it's not even a mistake.

What's coddled about simply not disrespecting someone?

I sincerely doubt that the shirt he's wearing will ultimately come back to haunt him on Signing Day. The media won't make a big deal out of it. They love Dabo.

I don’t understand why or what someone could get out of treating people differently. Why would anyone freaking do that? It’s amazing to me that people act this way. I’m not the nicest person in the world. I’m an introvert. I might not be nice, but I’m not nice to everyone.... equally

That shirt isn’t even a reference to BLM. It just means that Football means more than just a game. It’s still pretty dumb to wear anything with the word “matters” on it right now. As much as people say “Black Lives Matter” is not saying other things don’t, it’s pretty dangerous to say anything else matters right now. Pretty ironic isn’t it?

Every community is coddled. Why is it you are only speaking against the black community for being so-called "coddled" in this case?

Also, what's coddled about not disrespecting someone or at least being sensitive to what is going on at the moment?

What's coddled about making a mistake and owning up to it?

All I see is misguided views and pride.

A real leader of young men will own up to his shite and teach these kids how to own up to their own.

I highly doubt it from Saban and his staff.
