Settle down my man. If we hold em under 30, I'll be shocked. Look, our LB's will struggle all day in coverage. I hope I'm wrong and will gladly eat crow, but to say OU doesn't have a great offense is flat out wrong.

What ignorance. How long is it gonna take for some people to understand that OU’s offensive system puts up numbers on anyone. Take off your SEC glasses. Bama should win, but I’ll be shocked, SHOCKED, if they don’t give up over 450 yds and 30 pts to Murray. Pleasantly shocked.

I’m just curious, what were your feelings heading into the 16 and 17 natty games against Clemson since they came from the dogshit ACC?
2 Bama defenses much better than this one gave up:
2016-550 yds and 40 pts
2017-511 yds and 35 pts
Now I’d say Clemson was more balanced overall, but Watson and Murray are similar in their ability to make plays when the pocket collapses. Point is, incredible offenses can still exist in crappy conferences.

The "17 points" was somewhat tongue-in-cheek. Realistically, 21 points or less. I think we can limit them to 21 points or under.
Looks like Vegas has us winning 46-32 or something like that. I don't think they make it to 30 unless our offense can't stay on the field. We limit their possessions by controlling the clock against their horrible defense and get a decent lead and make them one-dimensional and it's game over and, unless there's busted coverage, they don't make it past 21 unless they add a garbage-time TD.
And we're completely capable of doing that.

Absolutely. I thought telling someone they got period blood all over the forum because they wouldn’t declare Bama’s defense as trashy as a Big12 defense, yell, “Boomer Sooner,” and proclaim Bama’s impending defeat by 230 points to an overrated Oklahoma offense to be a bit much, as well. I’m glad you agree. Thanks for sharing.

I hope the D and particularly the DL keeps hearing how good the Oklahoma OL is and how they are going to control the line of scrimmage. I hope the coaches tell Q and Raekwon and Isaiah that OU thinks they are a bunch of pussies and they think they are gonna make them their bitch.

It’s kinda annoying our offense keeps getting stopped and slowed down by good defenses. But when we play top offenses we always lose that matchup. Maybe once we could slow down a top tier offense?

Ball control offense should Tua be unable to go or be limited and get 4-5 stops from our defense. If Tua is fully ready, let him light up their defense and combine that with 4-5 stops, this will be a 3-4 score blowout.

Go watch some of Oklahoma's games. You will see some terrible tackling. In the first game with Texas, Oklahoma was down by 21 at the start of the fourth quarter. Whether Texas' defense was tired or just let up because of the big lead I don't know, but you will see some terrible tacking. On one run there were three missed tackles before the ball carrier was brough down. Oklahoma's defense is 128/129 out of 130 in pass defense. They are the ones who should be worried.

If an offense executes the play perfectly you can not defend it - look at the pass from Fromm on Georgia's last touchdown. Hell look at what Tua did for most of the year on many plays that were well-defended.
OU executes at a high level on offense, so most believe they will get 3 - 4 TDs unless we somehow manage to average 12 play, 7:00 minute drives... and we aren't that type of offense this year. Do I think we'll win? Sure. But there's a reason the O/U is what it is.

No one has said that. Not even close.
What we are saying is that Oklahoma averages 50 points per game. If we hold them to 20 points less than their season average, no one here should be disappointed. The middle ground between what we give up and what they score is 32.
We’ve given up an avg of 22 pts in our last 3 games, including 17 to a FCS team. Forgive us if we think giving up 28-35 is reasonable.
