I see Jared Butler was 3rd team All-American for Baylor.
Why did Avery Johnson release him?

We couldn’t get him medically cleared. Baylor could, as they are known for.

Do we play Richmond or Belmont again?

So far I know our OOC schedule consist of Maui and Big12 Challenge. Do we have a returngame against any of our other opponents from this year?

Yeah but is it new? Because the recordings we already know about weren't enough to cost him his job, and he's talking about paying players in those. If there is worse stuff out there....yikes.

It will be just like the HBO special where several Auburn players interviewed on camera and admitted to being paid. The NCAA didn't do shite about it. They will do the same in this case, I imagine. Really pisses me off.

I would think that if the NCAA wanted to really look like they were making a statement, LSU and Auburn would be perfect targets. They don't want to hammer the blubloods like Kansas for fear of cutting their own throats financially, and crippling Creighton or Prairie View won't move the needle. But LSU and Auburn are very recognizable names of big programs. Not perennial basketball powers, but a household name nonetheless. So that would be the best of both worlds for the NCAA; they look like they are doing something, while not hurting the bluebloods and thus their paycheck.

It’s probably the same, but once HBO airs it then it’s going to get a lot more attention on it. This is going to be embarrassing for the NCAA. I wouldn’t be surprised if they get out in front of it and do something about it between now and then.

This is a different scenario, as this was recent activity involving the Head Coach. Not low-level assistants or boosters. The head coach. And it’s not out-of-work former college players, who could have easily just been looking for some free fame and quick money that claimed they were payed. This is Will Wade’s own words involving an insanely large transaction for a player.

I played a couple of pickup games with Andy when he was at UAB as a player. He’s a pretty good guy. I hope he does well at UAB.

Glad we got Oats but at one time , I would have taken him at Bama no problem . He always had decent teams at OM and he could have gotten better talent at Bama

Never understood the hype. May as well hire Seth Greenberg while we're at it.
