Figured they would go after more proven coaches TBH but would hate to lose Vaughn, especially this late in the year. I think Vaughn is a good coach and someone said he has ties to Texas. IDK. Hope he is a fall back option if at all for them n

* A&M made a very furious run ($$) for Tony Vitello. It shot its shot, but TV stayed put and loyal to a program that has given him the keys to the castle.
* A&M also went after UVA's Brian O'Connor, but very dififcult to get him out of CVil
* Link Jarrett was never an option for the #Aggies. Link loves FSU and went back with Martin's blessing. There was no way he was turning his back on the #Noles.
* Skip Johnson, as I've alluded to, was never offered the job. He and Tom Walter were taken off the list when the Earley option arose.
* The surprise for me is that A&M did not take a hard look at Alabama's Rob Vaughn. I think Vaughn is a superstar and wouldv'e fit in great in College Station.
I'll have a story wrapping up the entire week.

Looks like some of us on here are not the only ones who think highly of Vaughn….. that is a testament to the job Byrne is doing at UA

Wearing Mason’s #2 jersey (now his). The 2nd catcher to portal in and the 4th one now on the roster. Hopefully he swings a big bat too!

Alabama_Fan gets most of the credit for this. He came along and started pumping out update threads for all sports. The board was active before that, but he has absolutely improved it with his contributions.
