Team is playing great ball right now and even if we don't get to host a regional I feel like we'd get sent somewhere that we'd have a good chance to win it.

With that all said, man it would be nice to have those Columbia and UAB games back. Those three games are all standing between us and a 40-win regular season, which is basically a guarantee of hosting when you play in the SEC.

But all we can do is win this weekend and do a little damage in Hoover and I still think we have a good shot.

I wonder if Bo had anything to do with that Columbia series loss? Howe much money could be made on that? Would be interesting to see if any money was put on that series.

where would this team be if Bo was fired before SEC play?

I can't help but think about what could have been. We're probably sitting 40-12 (18-9) and a lock to host a regional right now if Bohannon wasn't a scumbag. Hopefully we can sweep Ole Miss, win a few SEC tourney games, and host anyway.

This is what I believe.

Just as I suspected….. (although it sounds like JJ initially went along with canceling it)

A&M drops series finale to Alabama 11-0 after Crimson Tide AD pushes for game to be played

I’m not trying to avoid a game. We needed to play and we needed to win and we didn’t. I met with the players. I sent them home and apparently … their athletic director got involved and the league put a hold on it.”

Good for Byrne.

He needs to put some wins in his corner after the last 12 months.

Sorry I hope this doesn't come off as a troll question but will the NCAA force you guys to vacate any wins you had under Bohannon?

Not from what I've seen.

Interesting. Logically you would think it's an appropriate punishment for this type of incident.

Based on all the information we currently have Bohannon never bet on Alabama to win.

What victories would you take away?

I would think that merely betting on a game that you were coaching in would merit that punishment is all.

Logically it is the opposite of appropriate. Punishment is generally for rule breaking that attempts to gain advantage. This is......at best neutral to that and at worst the opposite of that. Precedence wise I don't think there is any of a singular coach being involved in some manor with gambling with the rest of the program - including 100% of the players - had no knowledge or involvement.

There are no hard an fast guidelines and the NCAA clearly states it is looked at on a case by case basis. I think most would be shocked if they looked at this case and determined the correct response is to suspend the kids from the NCAAT or anything of that nature.

In terms of Bohannan, that is another story. We still don't have great details, but if he was clearly actively engaged in sports gambling himself or giving information to someone else I'd guess he is done in the NCAA forever.

I get it, but as of now we don't know the exact games he bet on outside of the LSU series where we lost all 3.

If we lost all the games he bet on then there aren't any victories to vacate.
