This team suddenly going on a tear after their manager was fired over getting caught betting on them to lose would definitely be one of the biggest sports stories of the year. It would probably keep the NCAA off our backs too. They wouldn't want to take the PR hit of fricking over a bunch of kids who finally got to show what they could do after being unshackled from a coach who had a vested interest in their failure.

We will see what happens, but this team could potentially be one of those dangerous ones that has that combination of previously untapped potential and a no-pressure attitude. Sort of like a certain final four basketball team whose name most certainly shall not be mentioned.

Furtado with the start. I had read it was going to be on SEC+ but I’m not seeing any links to the broadcast and below says a broadcast is N/A. For those who can’t be there tune in to Chris Stewart and team (on Varsity or Tide100.9).

Yeah, one has to figure that Jackson wants to develop Furtado towards being more of a contributor. Add his power arm into the bullpen rotation for postseason depth.
