Day One of Baseball’s Fall World Series Finishes at 12-0 with Crimson Leading

The teams will return to the diamond on Friday for game two of the three-day event

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama baseball's Fall World Series got underway on Thursday evening at Sewell-Thomas Stadium, with the Crimson team jumping out front to a 12-0 lead after five innings of play.

Aidan Moza got the start for Crimson, tossing 2.2 scoreless with a pair of punchouts. Evan Chaffee then contributed 1.1 innings of scoreless work with Austin Morris continuing the trend, blanking Gray with 1.0 scoreless frame.

The Crimson offense was led by Jim Jarvis, with the senior reaching base twice on a pair of hit-by-pitch and notching an RBI on a sacrifice fly. Jarvis also added two runs and a pair of stolen bases in as many tries. Fellow senior Drew Williamson recorded a pair of RBI while making an impressive sliding catch in foul territory to highlight the defense for both sides.

Same here. I live right down the street from the park so a bit less of a drive compared to Tuscaloosa.

UA Baseball Icon Promoted To Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Chief Deputy

Tide baseball fans will remember the name G.W. Keller well, but he has been making his mark in law enforcement over the last two decades.

Always a challenge for football players to play baseball with football spring training right in the middle of the baseball season. I’ll be pulling for him.

Honestly don’t see how a QB can do it. But yes, good luck to him.

Keith Holcomb was the only guy I really recall having success on the diamond going back and forth and obviously he was much more limited in terms of his role on the football field.

No arm in the country had a louder fall than Grayson Hitt (@AlabamaBSB). Velo took a big jump as he was sitting 93-97, SL is still a + pitch, added a cutter to his arsenal that is a serious weapon. Attacks from high 3/4 slot, direction down mound has improved a lot Top-40 Upside
