Box score reflects 25 pitches as well LINK - that aligns with Coach Bohannon’s post game comments. It could be that Jean was fully prepared to come in in the second inning and just had a bad outing. Hats off to Landon and Chase for clutch pitching in the second half of the game to keep things within reach. Chase did give up his first run
TUNA on Tuesday!

Yea it just seemed a little odd in real time. Not questioning their plan though working him back slowly, he’s a game changer in the postseason of he’s fully healthy by then.

It was curious that they did this during the weekend. A pitch limit that low seems perfect to use in a mid week game like ULM last week or UNA this week.
But hey, Bo knows his program and guys.

he had 25
espn had a pitch count in the box so I am not sure where 16 came from . And if the 25 is correct and all the coaches knew it then Jean should have been mentally prepared to come in and the pitching coaches should have had him getting ready in the first inning. He was coming in by the third regardless
Thank you. I did not see the game until about the 7th inning, so I was going off the number posted earlier in the thread.
If he is at 25, then that makes more sense. I'm sure Bohannon wanted him to go through his regular routine and have plenty of time to get loose. Agree on Jean, he should have been getting ready when CP stepped on the mound in the 1st.

If we had Lee available for the Ole Miss series we would be one game behind them for third in the west and who knows what other games could have gone our way with a healthy Prielipp.
Correction - would be tied with Ole Miss and 2 games back of 2nd
