Exactly what I have said. I'm waiting for anybody to explain how he is any better than Gus. He will average 8-4. We will struggle there and kill them in Tuscaloosa.

Freeze was the one person I DIDN"T want them to get. Of all those they wanted, he has the most potential to turn their program around, no matter what you think of his past.

not much reaction here
its bad for sec not to allow him to coach as assistant and yet let barn welcome him as coach

I wouldn’t lose any sleep over Freeze at the Barn. Just remember what a complete lack of control that football program turned into at Mississippi under his watch.
Freeze will be watched with a microscope and not just by the conference but all of college football.

in NIL world dont need microscope you can openly do it. If TAM can buy whole class .. Barn can too

If 2022 Hugh Freeze is the most likely candidate Auburn had to turn the program around they are doomed
. That's like having your best option for a pilot be someone who only crash lands the plane some of the time cause he is busy calling hookers.

True… but I’m not talking about buying players. Any college can do that to a degree now. You still gotta have some discipline and control
Remember…. He tried to blame it all on Huston Nutt. He flat out lied to recruits about the sanctions ole miss was facing. All I’m saying is the man is a worm. Always has been.

Freeze did it at a place that averaged like 5 win seasons. It's simple minded to believe he will just replicate his ole miss record at auburn. He's probabaly good for at least 2 or 3 more wins a season and a huge pain in our side
What's ole miss and auburns winning percentage over the past 15 years?

That’s the thing with Freeze. It wasn’t just one incident that you can describe as a “mistake” that he owned up to when he was caught. The guy aggressively cheated, was caught, denied it, and lied to kids about it by slandering a previous coach. Now throw the hooker stuff on top of that.
It’s going to be quite a sight to see the lazy SEC and Alabama media paper that stuff over as a simple “mistake.” A mistake is leaving the sprinkler running when it’s raining outside. What Freeze did was downright disgusting….especially for a man that brags about his faith….and it should prevent him from coaching in major college football ever again.

He's a human pos
But, a hell of a ball coach. Best hire they could make for the occasional game stealer and trophy winner
He'll have a major personal scandal that gets him shite canned within 5 years.
But, He'll upset Bama and or UGa a few times in between.
There is a reason Saban wanted him.
Kiffin is holding out. He knew there was not a Barn to Bama transfer option

When Pat Dye was offered the Awbarn job, Coach Bryant had advised him not to take it. Coach Bryant thought Dye could possibly be a candidate at Alabama or Georgia if he could be patient. Dye didn't listen.

Side note: I want to go on record that I want NOTHING to do with Kiffin when the Bama job comes open. Dude is an over-rated head case with psychopathic in-game coaching tendencies in need of a strong HC that can keep an eye on him. He is never going to grow up.

Disagree on both counts. Kiffin is as good a choice today for the Bama job as anyone else we can attract. Few years down the road who knows what other choices crop up?
Dye would not have had to resort to the sordid shenanigans he resorted to at Awbarn if he had coached at Bama or Georgia. He did whatever he had to do at the Barn to stay competitive with Bama.

A month ago, I was on board the Lane train to replace Saban when that day comes. When focused, there’s not a better play caller in America other than maybe Sark. It seemed like he had matured some but he had the swagger/brashness to follow Saban and not be intimidated.
That said, he really showed his arse over the last month and it’s clear he hasn’t matured much at all.

Take out the years under Saban at Bama and Kiffin has nothing else to hang his hat on. He has had no major sustained success at any other program. He was fired from USC. Saban fired him a few days before the NC game. He is a juvenile with bi-polar play-calling tendencies. How could anyone consider him elite? Name one championship he has had as head coach? You think thats the best we can attract, LOL. If we hired him, I'd consider us reaching after the top 3 candidates passed.
As for Dye, he did whatever he had to do to hurt Bama. Thats all I need to know about him.

Auburn's 2023 season will look a lot like their 2013 season. They will have immediate success minus the flukes.
