Yeah, he's alright.

Really glad Rumph won the fight over which position he got to play. He'd be a complete waste on the OL. Dude is an animal. I don't think they do a great job of keeping up with defensive stats in CFB beyond tackles, TFLs, and sacks, but I'd be interested in seeing how many pressures/hurries he has this season. It looked like he collapsed the pocket about half a dozen times Saturday.

He reminds me more of Nick Fairley than Marcel

He reminds me of Albert Haynesworth when he was at Tennessee

He is explosive like Fairley but bigger

Found Haynesworth's UT career numbers:

quote:

He compiled 66 tackles, five sacks, 31 quarterback pressures, 20 tackles for a loss and nine pass deflections during his career.

LINK

And A'Shawn already has 4 sacks

Haynesworth also played DT in a 4-3 alignment.

As much as I like Stinson and Pagan, I want AR getting the majority of snaps against LSU. He's better at collapsing the pocket and Mett's biggest weakness is throwing on the run from what I've observed.

Hopefully he doesn't hit that freshman wall.

I'm not very worried about that. He has gotten better every week.

I agree Sarc even coming off the edge in our 3 man he is able to push the pocket and get in the backfield to pressure the QB pretty effectively

Kid has been dominant from the get go. He stuck out immediately as he entered the field in his first game, that I had to go look up his number to see who it was. Was surprised to see him that good in only his first game. The sky is the limit for him, just depends on how bad he wants to work on it.

On a side note Jarrick Williams also had a couple of nice rushes that jumped off the screen on Saturday.

He's a full grown man. It's nice to have a large explosive human that can eat space in addition to get after the quarterback. He's a 3-down lineman.

He and Allen have both played well this year. They along with Liner should wreck house in the years to come. They're all big and agile

Maybe ceremonial if they bring him back 1 game before LSU. But I have to think he starts vs LSU.

And Paige would've been an impact player this year as well IMO
