Oats is so arrogant in his philosophies that he hurts his own teams worse than the players at times. Sherrell should not be taking that many threes in a close game with number one team in the country. He wasted a scholarship on a player who our walk ons are better than. Most of our losses under him come in the same fashion. We build leads but can’t sustain them because we have no shot discipline. Everyone does not deserve the green light at every junction in the game.

We lost this game. We were completely lost in the 2 nd half. We don’t have a second chance point in the half.

We all knew Nate hadn't recruited enough bigs, and its absolutely proving true.
Doesn't help that 2 of the few bigs we did get weren't close to ready for this level of competition.
Bama is still a great team, but we are in the 2nd or 3rd tier this year. Plus, we came out in the second half like we'd already won the game. Zero effort on offense. Everything was in slow motion, standing around. Taking lazy 3s without getting our feet under us.

He's got the wrong people shooting 3s. Notice how AZ didnt do that? We just basically gave them the game, handed it right to them because we don't coach shot selection.

We say it every time, play a physical team that has a little bit of athleticism and it always goes the same way (minus Houston).
Somebody will come in and say how great the other team was, like the Purdue game and the other teams are good but the formula that we keep using isn’t getting us to the mountain top. Nate needs to tweak it.

Then he fusses at at our best player for taking a midrange shot when he greenlights Sherrell and Allen’s bricks. Philon is the best point guard in the country and he took him out to let Allen give the game to Arizona.

Arizona cranked up their game a notch or two and we didn’t/couldn’t match it.
