I'll be glad to get away from CBS and Gary. Big10 can have CBS.

If this is the case then Byrne may need to step in. I hate to be that way but if Saban doesn’t see the problem, then he is the problem.

Saban just said Ricks is okay, but hasn't been tested for a concussion yet.
He also said Gibbs has a twisted ankle (CodeName also confirmed Gibbs is going to be okay).

Whatever that means. I have watched and followed Alabama football since the early 70’s. I’ve seen programs ups and downs and it is easy to tell when coaches have lost the players or their edge. If Saban does not recognize that our OC and DC are not making players better and putting them into positions to make both them and the program better then it is time for the AD to have the discussion with the HC about the future before the program gets to point that is not recoverable.

I want to see #19 finish this year as a starting receiver. He has football savvy.

Speaking of guys getting more PT, it looks like Booker has finally locked up the LG spot.

Ugly win but that's all you can ask for with this team.
They were playing an 8-1 team on the road, after they had a bye week to rest up and prepare for them. They hung in and persevered even after getting two scores down several times. It was a big win for the team.

Man GTFO with this talk......We will probably finish with two losses against a red hot UT team at their house and an LSU team that was catching fire in OT.
Saban has been more successful than Bryant on a relative basis and deserves to be able to fix what he needs to fix on his terms. Let him handle it we don't the AD to start dictating hires to him or he will quit.

If he doesn’t make significant staff changes, then the AD needs to ask the hard questions just like Mal Moore did of Shula.

Saban has been more successful than Bryant on a relative basis. He's earned the right to fix it on his terms. A two loss season isn't a disaster although its disappointing in Bama terms. So now, we are going to start dictating to him like he is Mike Shula? I saw this shite with Stallings and that is how we eventually wound up with Shula and 10 years in the wilderness.

You must not understand kids of this era who are considering playing at the college level. They want playing time and the opportunity to advance to the next level and will go to whatever team/coach will give them that opportunity. They are very social media savvy and can see the same thing that the fans see. Saban has lost a step with the hiring of BOB and Golding.
BOB and Golding have not done any development of players and are not prepping them for the NFL outside of any raw talent that they enter the program with. Unless something changes, recruits will go to GA, TN, or whatever program gives them that chance. NIL and the transfer portal has completely changed college football as we knew it 2 years ago. If Saban cannot adapt to the change, then he will become the Bobby Bowden of Alabama football and both his legacy and the university of Alabama will suffer the consequences.
Individuals cannot recognize when they have “lost a step” but others see it. If Saban does not recognize that he is at a crossroads with his OC and DC, then it is up to the AD to do what is best for the program long term and have a frank discussion with Saban.
Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge Saban supporter and have been very thankful for what he has brought to UA. I don’t want to see his legacy tarnished or the program to decline because of his stubbornness or the failure of the AD to address glaring problems.

My guess is Saban is not going to need any AD or President to ask him to evaluate these aspects of the program. Saban is either going to commit to making big staff changes and reaffirm a culture of discipline and championship play OR he will decide to go to the house. I truly believe that...he's not going to let this program backslide into disrepair before retirement.
To that point, I think every coach that isn't in their first year on the staff is in a suspect position. I think Travaris Robinson may be one of the 1st year staff that goes elsewhere. Wouldn't be surprised if he's on Auburn's next staff without much guff from Saban about it. Bill O'Brien is very likely coaching in the NFL next year. Charles Kelly's work with the safeties may lead to him seeking opportunities. I hate it - because he was a player from my days in undergrad - but Roach is probably in trouble too. Holoman Wiggins is a clear coasting-on-generational-talent guy. He's got to go.
My wildcard is Golding. He should be gone but he's also the best recruiter. Still, results are what matters. His position group (ILBs) has always been iffy in his stint here since 2018. The defense has become very pedestrian against any team with comparable (or there about) talent on offense.
I don't think Saban will want to change out DC/ILB, CB, S, and DL coach all in one year but that is probably what he should do.

This Ole Miss team has a fraction of the talent Bama does. Ole Miss will be lucky to finish with fewer than four losses once the bowl is over. Bama was favored by 12 points. Ugly win any way you slice it. Program isn't yet at the point that Ole Miss is a big win
