Alabama Softball: Game Ball Winners From Auburn Series

Bailey Hemphill
The weekend was perfect for players named “Bailey” last weekend against Auburn. Bailey Hemphill got the weekend started by knocking two home runs and scoring five runs in Friday’s 6-0 win. Hemphill would go on to finish the weekend 4-for-6 at the plate.
Bailey Dowling
Joining Hemphill, Bailey Dowling had a solid weekend at the plate for Alabama. Dowling recorded two hits in Friday’s win while picking up three RBI in Sunday’s 4-2 win. Dowling collected four hits on the weekend.
Kaylee Tow
Tow provided most of the offense in Saturday’s 4-1 win over Auburn. Tow went 3-for-4, with two doubles at the plate and two RBI.
KB Sides
After missing the last two weeks in the lineup, Sides returned to the diamond this weekend and picked up three hits and an RBI.
Lexi Kilfoyl
Another great weekend in the circle from Alabama pitching led the Tide to a series win. In a series that saw 21 strikeouts, Kilfoyl notched 12 of them between her two appearances on Friday and Sunday.
Montana Fouts
Fouts joined Kilfoyl in pitching domination. In Saturday’s start, Fouts allowed three hits and struck out seven. In a relief appearance in Sunday’s finale, Fouts struck out two batters in three innings.

There are no unbeaten teams remaining in the SEC, although some have inflated records. Namely, Alabama, who at this point stands at 22-1. The third-ranked Tide enjoyed a three-game sweep of rival Auburn over the weekend. That pushed their early SEC record up to 3-0, as they came away unblemished. They allowed just three runs in the series while scoring 14, for a solid run differential of +11. Alexis Mack and Bailey Hemphill lead the squad with batting averages north of .400. Bailey Dowling is currently the team leader in home runs with five, while Hemphill trails with four, and Kaylee Tow has three. Lexi Kilfoyl and Montana Fouts are still dominant, having allowed a combined 11 earned runs in 112.1 innings with a combined 162 strikeouts to just 12 walks.
