I absolutely do not understand Coach Murphy's thinking. We have two batters that cannot get on base and what does he do? Instead of pinch hitting for them with a conference game on the line he lets both of them (Morgan and Clark) bat TWICE. What happens? Both of them either strike out or fly out TWICE. He has played both at third base and Clark also at first. Both have made errors and done nothing at bat. WTH is going on?

That would be typical Murphy. Bama deserves better. Too much talent has went through that program. He's a horrible Coach. As long long as he doesn't have make a decision he is a little bit better coach. Can't coach hitters.

Lexi has been our number one pitcher and why he started Fouts is a head scratcher. Maybe because her last two outings were good. But she gave up baserunners all over the place and we were lucky that they did not score more. UT stranded a lot. We never got many on. The UT pitcher got about 15 outs in row. Due to a bad throw and the ball getting loose is the reason we scored our first two.

Softball wins 7-1 but also has a potentially season changing injury as Bailey Dowling goes down with a knee injury. Savannah played great in replacement.

looks like she stepped wrong when she got to the bag. We played great after the third inning. Pitching put a lot of their runners on base. Kilfoyl was not sharp

I haven’t heard anything official but she came back out to the dugout later in the game (to a standing ovation) on crutches and in a leg brace. I can’t imagine her being back anytime soon - hopefully I’m wrong.

I think where Murphy missed the boat is not so much with the hitters. Lets face it, the ones that can hit are going to hit and the ones that can't are not going to hit top level pitching. Without naming names a few girls are just not going to be.330 and above hitters. Where he missed the boat, was not resolving the Skylar Wallace situation. There is no excuse for a two year starter and one of the best hitters on the team to leave, a coach has to manage that situation. Granted we do not know the real story, but you just can not let that happen. With her in the lineup you essentially would have only 1 or maybe two week spots in the lineup. Sides, Mack, Hemphill, Dowling, Tow, Wallace, Brown, Morgan, Jenkins, would be pretty stout. The 1, 2 punch we have on the mound is very strong as compared to most teams.

Softball won 3-0 over Tennessee to take the series. Bailey Dowling was on crutches and in a leg brace. Savannah Woodard has been doing great in her place. Montana with a strong game pitching today and no errors for the Tide. Happy to get that series win. Roll Tide!

No press conference posted after game 2. These two interviews are both short. Only 2 reporters and one asked Murphy and Montana the same questions.
