He hasn't beaten them when it mattered in YEARS that's the issue.

Did we win anything when Bama beat them at HOME during the regular season? Uhh NO!

Patrick Murphy is a one trick pony...get an elite pitcher and ride her down.

Where's the players with ATTITUDE? Like...Amanda Locke, Jackie Traina, Whitney Larsen, Brittany Rodgers, Bailey Hemphill, Charlotte Morgan, Jenny Fenton, and Montana Fouts!

Get some attitude on this team!!

We got a phenomenal freshman in Vandagriff but who has Murphy developed?

NOT NO DAM BODY!

OU is literally the 4 time defending national champs. I guess the entire country has that issue.

Out classed, obviously out coached. Didn’t deserve to be there. Never should have been awarded a regional against a patsy.

I shouldn’t even respond to you but Virginia Tech was no patsy.

If everyone is content with Alabama being relegated to the bottom of the SEC and ranked out of the top ten. Then so be it. Murphy can not get it done!

Guess who should've stopped two of those championships...ALABAMA!

Alabama Softball is it's own brand with or without Coach Murphy.

That's absolutely SAD that Murphy has developed ONLY 1 player over the last few years. Heck, I'm not even sure he's the one who developed her!

Since 2022 here are our runs scored in post season games (SEC and NCAA tournament)

2022: 0, 3, 0, 6, 4, 0

2023: 7, 3, 6, 5, 12, 1, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 0

2024: 2, 1, 6, 12, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 4

2025: 3, 2, 8, 4, 3, 0, 2

16/35 games with 2 runs or fewer.

Home runs hit by year (National team leader)
2022: 58 (151 Oklahoma)
2023: 56 (117 Oklahoma)
2024: 42 (160 Miami (OH); OU second with 122)
2025: 58 (147 Ohio State; OU second with 115)

Let's throw in 2021 since that's when OU's current streak started for fun:
Alabama 41
Oklahoma 161. ONE HUNDRED TWENTY MORE HOME RUNS.

You can not win championships playing small ball anymore and Murphy clearly refuses to adjust to it. We now have basically five years of data to show for it. Fire. Him. Now.

We need a RESET!!

A NEW coach with NEW ideas!

Look all over for a young coach...Division 1, D2, or Juco...I don't care but please find somebody who has evolved!!

Do you even watch our games?

Murphy. Does. Not. Play. Small. Ball. Anymore.

We just had our highest HR total since 2019 and best team batting average since at least 2017.

Enough of that.

Let’s have an actual conversation about the roster. We have a good bit returning.

Outfield:

Could return 4 players with starting experience. Obviously Vandagriff is good. Johnson has shown some good stuff. Preuitt needs to continue to improve. White could be a transfer candidate since she got passed over.

1B:

Duchscherer needs to improve or get recruited/passed over. Based on Murphy’s history and our current NIL funds…not likely.

2B:

Losing Heivilin. Need a good bat in the portal to replace her.

SS:

Hawkins is good…needs to improve her power.

3B:

Losing Ellestad. Hubbard feels like the clear next woman up.

C:

Giles and Valentine have eligibility remaining. Ideally we get a transfer catcher but as with 1B, not likely due to several reasons.

Pitching:

Returning Briski, Hodges, and Johnson. Briski is good and has potential. Needs to work on her confidence. Hodges is still developing. Johnson should not be on an SEC roster.

Gonna need a transfer for sure. Couple solid names floating early. Doubt we’ll be able to get a star pitcher without an in.

Other potential returnees:

Hopefully Pupillo can make a big leap this offseason. Same for Marceaux.

Incoming Freshman Class (ranked #7)

Bringing in two elite pitching recruits, Vic Moten and Kaitlyn Pallozi. Need at least one of them to contribute immediately.

Bringing in one catcher, Holly Beth Brooks. Probably depth.

Bringing in two IF/UTL, Gerritt Griggs and Ambrey Taylor. Griggs is very athletic, plays multiple sports. Sky high potential. I’ve read some great things about Taylor, good at the plate and in the field. Hit .597 with 37 XBH and 26 HR for 4A Curry this year.

Bringing in one OF, Ana Roman. Highly touted. Uphill battle for PT with our returnees.

Overall thoughts

A lot returning. Think they’ll be pretty good next year, top 10 preseason perhaps. Could be even higher with some portal luck.

58 home runs while OU hits 115+ every year. That. Does. Not. Win.

We're .500 in the SEC the last three years. Since 2015 we've won one regular season SEC Championship and one SEC Tournament championship. And don't forget that the 2022 and 2023 SEC Softball Players of the Year both transferred out from Alabama. Murph is washed. Period.
