I am really happy for Josh. Gruden is notorious for overworking running backs and basically using them as cannon fodder, then blaming them for lack of production when they break down due to excessive use. I am glad he was able to get from under that and have a coach that used him correctly and maximize his effectiveness.

First Super Bowl in awhile where I've really cared who won. Hope to see Jalen become the first former Bama QB to win a Super Bowl as the starting QB since Snake... and the 4th overall.

I'm wondering if Jalen's arm was hurt worse, or still hurt, worse than the Eagles let on. His hail mary pass was pretty bad. If he was still hurt why have him throw it?

If you watch the replay, it looks like he steps on the foot of his OL and sorta slips. I don't think it had anything to do with his shoulder injury or a lack of arm strength: Twitter Video

Did anyone else see Mighty Mouse (Mark McMillian) on the cooking show that came on after the Super Bowl? I only watched for a few minutes. He looked like he was still in playing shape.

Rumors of the Patriots trading Mac to the Raiders. I doubt it happens, but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for him. At this point I'd like to see New England trot out Zappe as their full time starter after how Belichick pulled a Flores last season in handling a young second year QB. Let's see how long Zappe Fever lasts for their fanbase.

I wish they would. Resign Jacobs and they would have a great offense with Adams, Waller, Renfrow.

Will runs a 4.60, Henry a 4.62 and Dale a 5.26 at combine.

Will is 12th among the edge rushers, but several of those edge rushers are lighter. Nolan Smith ran a 4.39 but he's 238 pounds. Pappoe from Auburn ran a 4.39 also.

Will looked good in his drills. Didn't see Henry's.

Young struggled according to this from nfl.com:

quote:

Young weighed in at 294 pounds but did not move as well in position drills as some players who were 10 or 20 pounds heavier than him. He was upright and relatively slow in his movements during short-area agility drills. Young did not run the 40 and his vertical (26 inches) and broad jump (nine feet) did not compare well with the rest of the group. He’s displayed versatility playing different spots on the line for Alabama, but his lack of quickness as a sub-300 pounder probably won’t endear him to NFL teams

Young is that Bama DT that's JAG athletically, but sticks around the NFL for 5 years like a Damion Square.

That 2019 DL really did not pan out like I had hoped. Justin Eboigbe is the last man standing.

Once the combine rolls around it always reinforces how our strength and conditioning hasn't really impressed me the past few years. Of course, football is more than just strength and speed...but that's certainly a big part of it.

Titans supposedly shopping Henry. If he does go another thing hopefully they have a good OL. That being said even though the Titans OL hasn’t been very good the last few years, at least they were willing to feed him the ball. A team like the Bills might not

Ridley reinstated. Jags might be legit next year.

How do you feel about getting Carr?

Side note: Ridley reinstated by NFL.

I can't believe the rest of the league let Jacksonville get Ridley for basically peanuts. New England perpetually needs a legit WR1 and could have gotten a proven one in Ridley without giving up much draft capital, especially when it's a weak FA market this off season for WRs.
