Kenyan made the best of his touches last night

Mac looks nothing like the QB he was last season. Granted the Pat's OTs are trash.
Tua looking good...but Miami's defense, not so much.
Jalen clicking as well today.

They are trying to throw the ball down the field without the personnel to do it and in a time when defenses have begun changing their schemes to prevent vertical passing. Mac belongs in a WCO system like they ran last season that focuses on getting the ball out quickly, YAC, and picking your spots for deep shots.

The Pats have a DC running their offense. And they lacked skill players. It's just not going to work regardless of who they have under center.

Pick machine Mac Jones.

Got bailed out by a roughing call, but that was an awful pass.

YUGE pick by Eddie Jackson to get Chicago back in this game.

3rd and 1 inside the 10 and they call a fade. Why not run the ball? I guess it doesn't matter since they got the TD on 4th but vintage pats teams would have ran the ball right there.

Mac looking sharper. He really needs this win.

Tua on fire…I know, it’s the Lions.

My biggest WTF moment in the off/pre-season was to question this. Has there been a precedent for a DC to swap sides of the field and excel?

3-0 for former Bama QBs today.
Tua looked great, as did Jalen judging by his stats. Mac really needed the W today. He played solid, got bailed out on a pick six though...still doesn't look like last year Mac, but hopefully this gets him back in the groove. He also doesn't have nearly the offensive talent around him that Jalen and Tua do.

Matt Patricia is a fraud.
No way avoiding that

Baker Mayfield may be done in the NFL. Walker has taken his job.

Henry may have 100 touches today. He's all they have. Malik Willis is starting at qb today.

Honestly, there is some really bad QB play in the NFL outside a handful of guys. I know OL is really important but imo elite WR is even more important.
Burrow had a horrible OL last year, but one elite WR and two other good ones.
Jalen is a different QB this year with AJ Brown as is Tua with the addition of Tyreke.
You add to Mac’s situation lack of development from a coaching standpoint, bad OL and no play makers, that’s recipe for failure.
Unfortunately, I see too much Saban/Alabama in the Bellicheck/Pats situation and not much will change.
Look at what lack of WR talent did to Aaron Rogers.
If I were the Pats I would go get Jeudy and Devonta for Mac.

I don't think Devonta would be available. Why would Philly trade him with the 1-2 punch they have?
Now New England could go get Jeudy from Denver. Not sure what draft capital it'd take, but it wouldn't require a first rounder... although I'm sure Belichick has his eye on a guard from West Wyoming State or something with their 2nd round pick.
New England wasted free agent money outside of Judon last year. They have a couple of good WR2 type guys, but no true WR1 that scares any defenses. Tua and Jalen both have two WR1 type receivers...it really does make a difference.
