SP+ Rankings - Offense
42. Mississippi St
46. Auburn

SEC Rank : Yards Per Play vs P5
5. Mississippi St (5.86)
9. Auburn (5.39)

SEC Rank : Rush YPA vs P5
3. Mississippi St (5.09)
8. Auburn (4.37)

SEC Rank : Pass Rating vs P5
7. Auburn (125.98)
8. Mississippi St (121.91)

Mississippi State vs Alabama
- 7 points
- 37 rushes, 188 yards, 5.08 YPA
- 12/21 passing, 82 yards, 3.9 YPA, 80.42 QB Rating
- 270 yards, 58 plays, 4.66 YPP

State's biggest successes were QB runs. I expect Auburn will try and do the same.

The question is whether we get DJ and Raekwon back or not.

We need them back badly or they will take advantage of an inexperienced and thin line.

We need at least 1 of them back, for sure.

Is Raekwon a possibility for AU? It looked bad, but I know that sometimes things look worse than they are.

I'd assume we'll have a pretty decent idea based on Saban's press conference today.

Dale will be back, Davis might be done until the bowl game.

Definitely a hit, but losing both would be catastrophic. Losing 1 is hard but manageable.

Dale won’t be 100 percent. Wasn’t this an aggravation of a previous knee injury?

It's not Auburn's offense I'm really worried about. I think we can hold them to <20 points.

I am glad Najee has really come on strong the past two games though. We are going to desperately need solid production from him against AU.

my coworker just stated that Najee is bad at pass blocking. I told him that I'd never noticed that he was really bad, but he recalls seeing Najee whiff a lot on blocks. Is he that bad?

If I remember right it was an issue in prior years. Hasn't been an issue this year.

During the MSU game they pointed out one miss that he had. Basically it was a dual rush and Najee looked a way and went and another guy came in the hole. I think that highlight stuck in peoples heads, he is usually pretty solid.

I will take out WR's against AU's secondary all day. Max protect Mac and let him throw it.

Your stats fail to point out that Bo Nix will look like Tom Brady when he plays us.

This is what max protect looks against #5 and # 3:

but seriously, I have faith in our Oline and RBs to keep Mac relatively clean.

Bama needs to possess the ball more against AU than we did against lsu and msu so the defense stays relatively fresh.

I do think our OL is pretty good. We should be ok man to man. Now if the Barn starts a blitz fest that's a different story.

I bet that guys leg was in 700 pieces btw lol.

Saban just said Dale and Davis are questionable this weekend.

Yeah I would imagine we are resting everyone possible and getting Mac and the WR's alot of reps.
