There was one gane where Releford drove the lane and dished it to him and he went up....and I was thinking like he was fixing to do a Shaq-like dunk...not only did he not dunk it, but he got the ball knocked out of his hands on the way up and he didn't even make it off the floor high enough to grab the rim!!!!! R u freaking kidding me!!!!
Sorry - wrong thread - forgot this wasn't the Fire Grant thread for a second!

He also visited USC last weekend. You shop, we shop. I haven't seen where we've offered him yet. Also I'd have to wonder how long will USC continue to pursue Town? This is a loaded year for California qbs. If they dont start seriously pursuing a backup plan soon it may be telling. I don't think Town is the type to drag out the process.

Have they cut Dillman lose?

That's what I figured but now USC can tell him Bama is recruiting other QBs even though you committed to them.
Rosen goes to the same school as Damien Mama. Saban visited with Mama this morning. They probably just "bumped" into one another.

Coker coming to Bama should have zero effect on Town's decision
Coker has 2 years if he comes, this year and next, Town could redshirt year 1 and have 4 years of eligibility left.
So if he doesn't come it will not be because of Coker.

At this point I think Town will probably flip. Keeping California recruits is nearly impossible. We were lucky enough last year to escape with a long snapper

How many commitments from Cali have we lost? Viane. Anyone else?

I think he won't...just by the comments he made AFTER Nuss and Bama split and then hiring a guy he's at least acquaintances with in Kiffin
Kiffin just has to do a good job with whichever QB
That being said there is a long way to go obviously but with the right guy in any area if they like Bama enough they'll come
That's how I feel about Town IMO

Him spending his entire spring break during A day week does say a lot though

has anyone considered that if Kiffin does a good job this year that he will be gone before Town ever gets here?

Its going to take more than 1 year to rehab his image
Posted on 1/22/14 at 12:09 pm to SECSolomonGrundy
IMO he will be here 3 years minimum and likely longer than that. He has learned I believe that OC is his niche, shocking considering he is the son of Monte Kiffin

i think you guys are underestimating Lane's ability to sell himself. If he does a good job for us this season he might be coaching in the NFL again or as a HC in another conference or even in the SEC

I think town likes the program and saban. I don't think the offensive coordinator matters because he is sold on a pro style offense which we will always run. Up tempo or not doesn't matter

When we hired him, my first thought was he would be here two years, do a solid job and move on. I see no reason why a previous head coach would keep that job longer than 2 years considering we have had how many in Saban's time here?

OT, but what do y'all know about Kevin Sherrer?

Random topic derail, however, the AHSAA approved new classifications today. New 7A to feature 32 teams.
