If you don't following recruiting and only read Alabama forums you'd think Alec Morris is a young John Elway and Dalvin Tomlinson is prime Reggie White.

Everyone knows Jacob Coker is a young John Elway, not Alec Morris.

Hey guys. Start paying much closer attention to Rashaan Evans. I like Bama's chances.

I'm not getting my hopes up. I remember you were one of those who said Coach Orgeron was in Tuscaloosa.

I have never understood the Dalvin Tomlinson hype, just like I will never understand the Alec Morris hype.

I wouldn't put them in the same category. Unlike Morris, we know that Tomlinson was going to be a contributor this past year if he hadn't gotten hurt. Not bad for a RS freshman.

He was a good soccer player in high school, which speaks to his athleticism for such a large dude, and he was an undefeated state champion wrestler. He won most of his matches in under a minute. Wrestling teaches leverage. Most of us assumed that a guy with that kind of skillset would make a great defensive lineman. If he can ever get healthy he will be, there's a reason he was ahead of his DL classmates on the depth chart

Did we ever get confirmation that he wasn't?

No, you didn't get confirmation that he wasn't there.

And FYI, when someone I trust texts me and says they just watched him walk into the football complex with their own eyes, I'm believing it 100 times out of 100.

Since we were talking about RB options yesterday, anyone have the latest on Jovon Robinson? He popped up on the radar a couple months ago then disappeared again.

He's going to be a 5-star in the Class of 2015. He says he wants to come to Bama, but I'm not holding my breath. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up back in Auburn.

ETA: He was the NJCAA Offensive Player of the Year this season.

He rushed 272 times for 2,387 yards and 34 touchdowns.

He's a beast. These Memphis kids are a crapshoot though.

Pretty sure I saw a post by an Auburn fan that said Auburn agreed not to recruit him again. I could be mistaken though.

Korren Kirven hasn't exactly set the world on fire either

he did decent in some mop up duty this year. he's much more Kerry Murphy than Tomlinson is. But Murphy's problem was that he was always hurt. With Kirven, he's always been a project. he's huge but he had a lot of bad weight when he came in. He changed his body a little bit over the last season and if he can continue to do that he could be a contributor down the road. Once he gets older and his body goes from being a boy to being a man, he could be a real good player.

Speaking of Memphis, looks like we're going to offer 2015 OLB Josh McMillon. He has offers from OM, Clemson, TN, and AU. If that is who we're battling for a Memphis kid, expect there to be a lot of cash flowing around

Memphis recruiting always makes me nervous.
