Yep.

And yet, I'm talking about our two deep on the DL, not people who play with a hand in the dirt.

And yet, there appears no reasonable explanation for leaving Hubbard off of the DL rotation chart. If you indeed realize how much time Hubbard spends at end, then you surely would not minimize the impact his leaving would portend experience-wise.

Other than he plays Linebacker

Try not to be such a miserable argumentative douche bag at all times

Believe me, I know how A-Hubb plays, he's a linebacker. Rushing the passer doesn't suddenly make him a defensive lineman.

I realize how much time Hubbard spends rushing the passer. Doesn't make him a lineman. I was purely talking about the two deep DL depth chart. Hubbard's position is SAM.

Talking about the DL, him leaving doesn't hurt. AS for LBs? I'd say losing him hurts, he sets the edge well and he has put more pressure on QBs this year than he is given credit for.

Although he still lacks much experience, Dillon Lee is supposed to be a future super star.

I'm not crazy about Lee. Hasn't played much obviously, but from limited PT, I just haven't seen enough.

Ragland/Reuben are probably the "starters" of the future, imo, Lee will definitely be the Nickel/Dime guy if neither of them can do it, and at 260+ pounds, Reggie probably can't do it. Reuben maybe, I remember during camp it was stressed that he was looking great in coverage.

Four-down alignment in nickel and dime, it does.

Hand on ground, at the end position, makes him a lineman in certain sets that the defense runs, and has continued to run, more consistently due to facing a higher number of spread offenses.

It is purely a matter of what is listed by his name in the gameday program versus the reality of in-game play. Does it list him as a LB? Yes. In practice, has he played end a lot of the time? Yes.

Really was hoping Ragland would eventually be moved to TE or H-Back.

Howard and Ragland blocking/ passing combo could be potent.

Has Ragland developed the temperament for defense? Coming in many doubted he would ever play tough enough at LB.

Nailed it.
Played tight end well at Bob Jones. Thought he'd get a look there at the beginning of fall camp when the experiments at TE were ongoing.

The Quality/Numbers/Type of DL seems to have changed what with Robinson, Allen, Elam, Carter, Hand etc. Is the focus of these guys just a factor of talent wanting to play or are we transitioning more to a One gap D vs a two gap D?

Just to clarify, I know what Hubbard does, but again, I'm talking something entirely different.

The two deep of actual defensive linemen.

Hubbard may play end in pass rushing situations, but so did Hightower.

I'm talking about guys who play Nose, the 5t, or inside on pass rushing downs.

I really hope we can keep Miller and maybe get Evans. Evans seems like a long shot, but our staff has pulled in others that didn't seem like they were going to Bama (like Ashawn this past year)

FWIW, Kipp Adams said we're really gonna turn up the heat on Evans.

Also, the Auburn 247 site only listed Auburn's chances at Evans as "Average."

Sounds good to me.

If their 247 is like their Rivals site this can be translated as "Evans told Gus to frick himself and kicked him in the shin."

They also listed their chances of landing Stephen Roberts as average. They listed their chances with Clark, Hamilton, and Casher as poor.

It's going to be a war for Evans. I know UGA wants him bad
