I dont know what to make of the whole Stephen Roberts situation. I truly think he is dragging us along to avoid us recruiting other CB recruits.
This year's class in Alabama is strange. When all is said and done, we may end up with only 4 commits from the state of Alabama: Holcombe, Clark, SDH and Bo Scarborough ( both of whom may still flip)
Frankly I would rather us go after someone who really wants to be a part of the Crimson Tide even if they are from out of state. I'm tired of Roberts' game. He went from saying he would be at every home game to only showing up for two. He is not a "can't miss" prospect either.

Matt Elam said that he has the best relationship with Alabama. He talks with Coach Thompson daily and Saban every other week. He also is planning to take an unofficial for the LSU game.

But he said he could talk to Mark Stoops about anything!

I think people are making too much of the Auburn visits. He plays a game Friday night (sometimes returning late from away games). The next day he can either drive 3 hours each way to attend the Bama game or drive 5 minutes to the Auburn game. He gets the VIP treatment either way.

I don't know. You got to think Auburn is looking for some way to get back at us for embarrassing them every year around NSD. If the shoe were on the other foot with an Auburn commit visiting us every weekend, you know we would be optimistic about landing him.

The only thing that rubs me the wrong way with Roberts is that he didn't come to the TSIO because of an injury that he suffered Friday night. If that's the case, then why not stay home all together? Why fuel the fire so to speak?

Barton Simmons on Elam:

It looks like Bama may be battling UK for the same official visit wkend. Both are telling him to free up the second weekend of December.

If I was hurt and could not do anything else on a Saturday, I'd rather ride 5 minutes in a car than almost 3 hours in one.
All his friends were going to, so it wasn't like he could call someone over to hang out...

He could have stayed home and watched it on TV.

Or go to it live for free with friends? Easy choice.
These are teenagers, they aren't worried about what recruiting sites may say about them.

Barton Simmons (247) was there today. When he talked to some people a the ceremony, most have thought for awhile that he is going to UK, but the momentum has been shifting towards Bama lately.

It sure would be nice to have an elite 3-4 NG again. I love our freshman like Robinson and Allen, but imagine how well they would play if they didn't have to worry about being doubled.

2015 5-star CeCe Jefferson on Alabama:
Alabama: “I am dealing with (outside linebackers) Coach Lance Thompson. What got my attention with Coach Thompson is that the first thing he said to me was that they are going to start using the pass-rushing, they are trying to start getting pass-rushing defensive ends, instead of the run-stopping slow ones. He said that I am a perfect fit for that position. He is pretty high on me and he has my attention.”
Please tell me this means they are going after Rashaan Evans hard.
